I just wish i could talk with someone on the phone who could encourage me, this is giving me high anxiety and depression.

A lot of us have been where you are. It gets better. Right now you're in the waking-dead stage. That will change with time, and you'll be able to think clearer. Some of the people on this forum can be a little rough with our humor. Others can be dry, but all of us have our hearts in the right place. You can do this, and there are people here to give you support. The important thing is to continue the therapy, even when it seems difficult. And ask lots of questions.

Have any of you been so exhausted that your muscles shake? I've had shaking for quite awhile now and this morning was the worst ever, kinda scared me. Can you tell me all the issues you had before cpap/apap? Please?

Having an Airsense machine makes it worth getting a computer, even if it's just an inexpensive laptop, just for this purpose.

If you cannot afford a new computer, there are usually inexpensive options available. For instance, consider looking for a local non-profit in your area that provides inexpensive computers to people in need. In my area, there is a non-profit that receives donations of old computers. They sell the refurbished computer for $25 to $75 depending on your needs. There may be something like that in your area. You could also try ebay. I would probably stay away from craigslist -- anything too cheap to believe is bound to be compromised or broken.

Alternatively, you could ask family, local friends or friends on facebook or nextdoor to help you out. You'll need either a Windows machine, preferably Windows 10, or Mac with the latest OS.

I wish there were an android or iOS solution for OSCAR, but there isn't.

This is not a CPAP or APAP issue. See a doctor as soon as possible.

None of us here can say what sort of medical issues you are having with the shakes. I'm sure there are many things that can cause it. Talking to a doctor may give you some insight and peace of mind in that regard.

In a previous post, it was not clear, but I think you were asking why is it so hard to exhale against the air pressure. The pressure is what keeps your airway open. When I started on the machine I thought the same thing, it was something I wasn't used to. Over time your body adapts. I was fortunate to start at a low pressure and work my way up. I also switched to a machine that allows more pressure relief on exhale. It's tough to offer any ideas on changing the machine settings to offer relief unless we know your machine settings and can view the data it records. That's why being able to have the use of Oscar is invaluable for all of us.

As far as personal issues before cpap I have a long list, physical and mental. To list just a few so you have a small idea, anxiety, depression, insomnia, complete exhaustion, brain fog, nervous system problems, strange heart issues, light/heat/sound sensitivities and on and on. The list of problems was just as long for 2-3 years while on cpap because my pressure settings were not adequate. With Oscar(formerly Sleepyhead) and the folks here the majority of those problems were resolved over a couple year period. I think it's been six years now on the machine and I still work on learning more and focus on ways to improve my therapy. I still wake a lot through the night. It's a life long process.

You are very fortunate to have found this forum so early. I suffered for a long time and personally spent 10's of thousands of dollars trying to get things resolved before I found this forum. This community and the Oscar software are a blessing. I can't say it enough.

Hang in there it's not an easy road to travel and it's different for everyone. There is an incredible amount you can learn to to improve your therapy and you quality of life. Chances are you won't make larger strides but smaller steps as you progress. I think that's how it is for many people. This is our new way of life which we all learn to adapt to.

I know this doesn't help you much, nor do I have any idea what's going in your situation, but I forgot to say I used to have temporary muscle spasms which my guess were caused by sleep deprivation, nervous system problems and other things. They were random and brief and were not concerning. I don't get them anymore.

I drink 2 cups of strong dark roast coffee in the morning and it doesn't get me up and going, instead, 2 hours later i feel like laying down and taking a nap. Do you all go through this too?

I'm only 43 years old but feeling like i could die anyday. The coffee doesn't wake me up but sure raises my anxiety.

That occured to me too, but I got the impression that Countrygirl was having more violent symptoms, in which case the doctor's advice is best.

Yeah, sounds like her symptoms are different than RobK.

I was getting uncontrollable twitching muscles. It was random and brief. It usually consisted of a single muscle at a time. Showed up randomly around my body and never was predictable. I'm pretty certain it was caused by nervous system problems from sleep deprivation, stress and anxiety. I definitely was weak and exhausted at that time also. I do get shaky hands when trying to do certain things and it was worse when all that stuff was going on in the past.

Countygirls shakes sound more serious than what I had going on.
