Ot- 2020 memes

I have sewn very little for the last 20 years, but my machines are in great shape.
I am making masks for my family, now--and am getting the bug to do even more.
I use the serger whenever possible, and the rest goes on the Viking.
I forgot how "zen" it is to sew.
Going to have to go to the store--I stepped on my reading glasses--oh, crud!

I haven't used one since my kids got out of school so I got rid of my old singer when we moved back to Arizona. I found a Brother LX3817 on the Walmart app and put it in the cart for pick up. I'm surprised that it didn't get canceled like my first several attempts to buy a sewing machine. Now all I have to do is figure out what I'm going to use for wire across the nose. I'm using the sew it online pattern. Figure out if I get back into sewing I will pick up a better machine after this pandemic ends and the sewing shops open back up.

What pattern are you using ?

I found the pattern on craftpassion--then grabbed a free printout from hobby lobby.
Same pattern--they gave proper credit, too.
Got a cute llama print from them--but their PRICES!
Also really weird waiting in line, all spaced apart--with HYMNS on the P.A.
Cotton prints are half as much at Walmart. So that's where I got most of the stuff I'm using.,
The directions on craftpassion are hard to understand--(broke my babel fish.)
Easier when you read it in clear English.

Finally managed to snag a sewing machine so I can make fabric masks. Figured I start out with making some for my family,
then I'll hand them out to friends and neighbors. That should keep my occupied for a while.

Thanks. . I've made a couple of different masks this morning. One with ties another with elastic ear loops. They are in the washer now. Going to try them on daughter tonight and see which she likes best. Taking a break to post some more memes.
