Hybrid Headgear Replacement: Fast, good customer service.

Post by SelfSeeker » Tue Dec 05, 2006 5:52 pm

Even though I really like the Hybrid, the headgear is another story.

I only washed it the first time and within 11 days or so the velcro was not working well.

I called Inommed, no problems took my info and sent me a new one.

The new head gear looks different on the top, there is actually a piece of velcro. There is still plastic by the straps. I am not sure if it is the same material or not.
I can do this, I will do this.

My disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, nor have I ever worked in the health care field Just my personal opinions.

self, is it thicker? I heard the new headgear is thicker.
even if it's out, everyone probably has to blow through their inventory before we'll see it on our next order. Have they started handing it out to callers yet?

I called last week and my wife said it arrived today. I wasn't charged a thing but the rep told me this was an improvement to the current headgear but they are still working on a new design.

The new headgear is the same as the old with the exception of velco on both pieces of the top head srap. Same thickness, same side straps... Oh well, at least it didn't cost me anything.

Cheers,

You got what you paid for.

The "new & improved" headgear costs $31.00. You won't get one for free. It's their scam to produce more revenue.

Ted, it's on all the new products coming from the factory but I was told it might take a month to filter down to to the customer. I hope I don't have to pay for it. i was told I would get it for free when it was available. I just missed it when Innomed was giving all that headgear away for free. I missed it by a day.

I was given some new headgear when I called to complain some months ago.
But what they sent me was the same old headgear but with extra strong velcro on the top strap. The material that the headgear was made out of was identical. People that called in earlier got a beta test version made out of a better thicker material. But they gave away all the samples rather quickly and a new version of the headgear made out of this better material hasn't surfaced anywhere yet.

Meanwhile, my old style headgear (with stronger velcro on top) is held together by PadACheeks and an extra pantyhose strap.

I don't know when we will really be able to get a really "improved" version of the headgear.

If there isn't something new available by mid-January I'm going to buy the FP431 headgear as recommended by Tooly in other threads.

I am getting one for free. Their newest one. If you bought a Hybrid recently and the headgear isn't working right, the manufacturer will send it.
