Pro Tip for people struggling with chinstraps! Gamechanger!

Mouth leak much?

Even slight mouth leaks, in my experience, can compromise your therapy. Even if you maintain a low ahi with leakage, I believe that the mouth leaks disrupt your sleep and/or induce some kind of stress-response in your body. (mine, atleast). So I've really struggled trying to address that issue....I've tried various straps as well as full face masks, which I found surprisingly leaked a lot, and werent very comfortable since you have to wear them so tight.

Respironics Premium Strap that a lot of people used I HATED. It's effective, but so unconfomortable. The materials are cheap and synthetic, not breathable at all. My skin irritated and bothered. and hot. No good.

The red ruby one also is made of crap materials, and i felt pulled back on the jaw quite a bit, also too much material.

The resmed sullivan chinstrap is made of high quality materials, and is effective. However, it is a single strap, and so will often slide forward or backwards, and slip off. HOWEVER, THE TRICK IS TO USE THE RESMED P30i nasal pillows, and to thread the strap through the velcro straps of the masks! It is perfect! they work together so well, I'm shocked that resmed hasn't recommended doing this. I know that they recommend putting it under or over, which I really think does absolutely nothing.

But guys seriously, if you're on nasal pillows or can tolerate them, get your self a p30i, and thread the sullivan strap through the velcro fasteners of the mask. It perfectly secures the forward/backward movement of the strap, and the strap can be held securely to pull UP on your jaw without pulling it back much. The two are a great pair, and the WHOLE, imo, is GREATER THAN THE SUM OF ITS PARTS. Happy Papping.

I found the Resmed Sullivan usable as well, but I split the strap,
almost exactly like the headgear of the P10.
I was able to spread the strap pieces separately,
and even adjust them to different length, as needed.
Then I decided to forgo chin straps entirely--NOT SORRY.
