New Resmed cpap model?

Post by goofy_american » Sun Feb 02, 2020 7:33 pm

Anyone know if Resmed is coming out with a new cpap machine model this year or in the near future?
I've had my Airsense 10 for coming up on 5 years and will be due for a replacement.

I'm surprised that they don't update their machines more often.

No one except ResMed knows and they aren't talking.

Mine is over 5 years old, and my next one will be its twin.
I already have spare tanks and heated hoses.
Silly not to use them.
Besides, I can customize a faceplate--and use it on either machine.

My guess is that the Autoset is as good as it's going to get with simple reactive based control.
The new machine will likely (hopefully) include model predictive controls, and likely A some degree of AI. This would be a step change for patients and I can't wait.

Why...The change from S9 to AirSense 10 was almost insignificant except for the exterior changes. I didn't notice a thing.

Most changes are purely cosmetic, or compatibility designs
intended to force the buyer to invest in all new accessories.
The "latest and greatest" is too often a brilliantly crafted TRAP.

You are almost correct. But it won't be out until 1:37 PM.

These things ARE almost always late, you're right.

Unless any changes are REALLY significant improvements, I'm like: "meh."
