MeRT - Treatment to Reset Brain

Post by kteague » Mon Feb 03, 2020 8:45 am

Certainly hope this MeRT treatment ends up holding as much promise as it sounds in so many arenas, including sleep disorders. I've always felt that after long term disordered sleep the brain has to relearn how to sleep. Maybe this is the reset button those with intractable insomnia need. Hmmm, now I want to do some googling and see if it has any hope for narcolepsy treatment. Looking forward to hearing more about this.

The expense might be a major roadblock.

Agreed on the expense.

It looks very interesting, promising, & potentially useful though.

Occasional visitor Cpt. Midnight here.

Yes, that does look promising. I'd read some years back that degaussing the brain with a large magnet held promise to treat some neuro issues. This must be an outgrowth of that.

And, if it works on some disorders, maybe it holds promise for pathologies such as sociopaths, psychopaths, and even politicians.

For the politicians, maybe good old fashioned electroconvulsive therapy.
I can think of at least 51 or so--ideal test subjects.
