HDM Z1 Auto - Can't Connect via Bluetooth to use Nitelog

Post by mjrodman » Thu Jan 30, 2020 12:12 pm

Hi guys,

New APAP user here, and trying to get my phone or iPad to connect to my new Z1, and I can't seem to get it done.

On my phone (Android) the device shows up, but never successfully pairs. I've tried power cycling both devices, and a techie, etc. Just not happening. On my iPad, the device doesn't even show up as something nearby. I've also tried adding while within the Nitelog app, and the Z1 doesn't show up as an available device.

Yes, the BT-On is indicated on the Z1

I also can't seem to find instructions on how to Factory Reset the Z1, thinking this may help.

Anyone else have these issues? Any suggestions?

Probably drawing from a very small population of people here that use that machine. It's not a commonly used brand.
And maybe someone who has used it and has had that problem that might frequent this forum simply hasn't had a chance to see your post yet.

In the meantime CG sent you to the only place she could think of that might be able to help because we simply don't have any experience with your machine at all. I know of maybe half a dozen people here who use it and that's it.

That would be nice. Someone might have the same problem someday, and a quick browser search would find your solution.

I have a Z1 I use for travel. Pairs up like it should on my Android phone.

Maybe a silly question....But did you download the "Nitelog" app first on your phone?

I had the same issue with my new HD Z2, android phone, constantly telling me no device etc. I contacted support. They have a tutorial on how to get it to remember your password and activate the bluetooth connection. Sorry I don't know how to post a link. However in my opinion the APP is not so great or detailed just gives you basic info

highlight the link by dragging your mouse across it, making sure you get the tail end of the link if it's a long one. then use your mouse and right click it. from the resulting menu, click "copy".

come to this site and start composing a message. click anywhere in the text box. right click your mouse. from the resulting menu choose "paste".

voila, the link appears!

to make sure your link works, choose "preview" rather than "submit" for the message. in the preview , click your link and see if it goes where you meant it to.

good luck!
