Air Mini Resmed - permanent CPAP

Post by Avis » Wed Jan 08, 2020 4:46 am

I read the following post written in other forum:
It's been about 10-12 months that I'm using the Travel Air Mini permanently, as my main CPAP machine instead of my S10. After a one month using the new HumidX™ Plus for AirMini™, I'm cleaning the it with Denture Cleaning Tablets, the solution gives me an excellent cleaning results, the part becomes snow white clean. The cleaning tablets' company that I'm using mentions that the tablets are laboratory tested and expertly formulated to rigorously effervesce and kill 99% of the bacteria that cause unpleasant odors and bad breath and removes stains & discoloration. It's been almost 3 moths that I'm cleaning the parts. So far so good. It's annoying me being dependent on dedicated costly mask and humidity part. I think that the dedicated mask is about to be solved by purchasing the Maskpap. This is a personal decision and action, not a recommendation to do the same, it is up to you, just think about that and let me know your opinion. I'm not expecting Resmed to approve my solutions, all companies have to make money.

Some sort of adapter to the AirMini so that people can use other masks that this particular forum members has been posting links to at other forums and here to the point of ending up being considered spamming.

Lots of pictures and links were getting posted here and at another forum I frequent.... and I got several messages from forum veterans that the threads had become nothing but spam for the product and it should be nipped in the bud.

You can search Avis's other posts (that's all that is ever talked about) and easily find it. It appears that Avis's main goal at this forum or Jason's is to post information about the product. Hmmmm....smells a bit spammy but since the product could potentially benefit someone I left the mention and first links to it in place but the many duplicates of the same stuff were edited out...Thread was shortened considerably.

I would rather err on the side of caution and let a little spammy smelling stuff through the filters in this situation but I am not going to allow this forum to be the product's personal ad bulletin board.

This thread will NOT become another spamming opportunity for that product.

Resmed sells an AirFit™ P10 Connector for AirMini™ connector which costs $16.Not all the vendors have it on their websites. I stumbled on the item myself.
The tube, pillows, head strap and Humdix's are available separately as well.
I'm pretty sure the same is available for the other two mask styles available for the Mini.

Great. because the whole thing did come across as spam - I was tempted to ask if she'd been paid to shill for them!

Wouldn't be surprised about the shill thing but in this situation the product is cpap related and it might be something someone might want so I allowed it to stay (and cpap.com doesn't carry it) but curbed the many post links and pictures that were made.

FWIW I think this post was just another sneaky spam attempt and any further posts like this one won't be allowed to stick.

So Avis...if you are reading this...don't do it again.

Unfortunately, some people protecting the CPAP's companies instead of checking useful tips that experienced users are "promoting". Users just have to get the tips, check it and decide if it's good or not. As 30 years CPAP user I say don't let others to control your mind or think for you. You have to decide what's good for you and can help you.

I am letting the others decide by allowing your post to remain.
I received many, many complaints from the other members about your first post promoting the product...it was they who wanted me to do something. Actually they wanted me to remove it entirely but I opted to let it stay but just removed the duplication.
Duplicate posting of the same thing over and over again (even in subtle ways) is considered spam and will be treated like spam no matter what it is....even if it is the best cpap product since sliced bread.

So it was the other forum members opinions that prompted me to do something and now say something here.
You pissed them off more than pissing me until now.

Pugsy
Thank you for your reply.
I didn't feel pissing you or any forum member, I'm sorry for giving you all this bad feeling. In fact, I respect you all, otherwise I wouldn't participate in this forum. I'm glad you wrote me about that and I apologize to break the rules.
As you know, I'm a new member on this forum and not familiar with the rules, also have difficulties understanding English as it is not my Native language.
For your information, I'm 72 years old about 30-35 years CPAP user, Antennas Engineer, retired and have nothing to do with prompting or things like that. Just want to give advises from my long CPAP experience. It seems I failed doing that. So I'll stop participating this forum not to do more damage.
Have a nice day.

Still convinced he's a spammer:
Google Search Avis Maxpap, you'll find the exact same post from him on many different CPAP forums from accounts created at the same time.

You'll then find the same post where he states he's just found MaxPap and is going to order it.

You'll then find about 12 hours later and he's had the best night.

What's odd is, how he managed to order and receive an item in just a few hours when it's being shipped from china and states a delivery time of 7 - 30 days.

Unfortunately, this could be a useful product, but instead of message stating, "Hey I'm manufacturing these MaxPap adapters, he tries to trick us with I'm a grilled customer SPAM.

Sorry, not interested in doing business with dishonest spammers.

I agree with you. I also researched for other posts on other forums and the comments just didn't add up.

If it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck and smells like a duck...most often it's a duck.
