Cpap morning Suprise

Post by klm49 » Tue Dec 24, 2019 11:07 am

Woke up this morning and reached over to turn CPAP off when I realized it wasn't on. Apparently it quit in the middle of the night as most of the humidifier water was gone. I coudn't locate my Voltmeter to test power supply. Fortunately my DME was open till noon and had another power supply. My Machine will be 3 y.o. on April. DME claimed Medicare doesn't cover power supplies so I had to pay out of pocket $75. He claimed the are Reg. $99 (b.s.) I could have bought online cheaper but it would take a few days to get. I had machine quit on me last week but it started working again after I replugged connection to machine. What was surprising is that I didn't wake up when it quit this time.

Based on the number of hours of usage, you probably can surmise how long you slept without it. It might be a very short time.

My old machine is my backup plan should this happen! In fact, it did happen once (meaning my backup machine is actually not my last CPAP, but the one before that).

Because it was off when I woke up.

Without looking at data, how do you know whether it had been off for five hours or 15 seconds?

The water chamber was nearly empty, meaning it was on most of the night... and now that I am able to get data off the card it conforms this. Initially the data wasn't on the SD card when it cut off but after turning back on it is there now.

Nobody said anything about it turning off, then back on. Where did you get that?

An empty water chamber probably does suggest it was on most of the night.

However, the stats (i.e. number of hours usage) are more reliable!
