New CPAP Machine

Post by NewBMW » Thu Dec 05, 2019 10:03 am

I have just bought a new CPAP machine. I spend part of the year in Spain so this will keep me from carting the machine back and forth twice a year. However, I need to get the new machine programmed with my current prescription and have it report through the modem to the proper database. What is the process I can use? I went to the office where I bought the original machine but since I did not buy the new machine from them, they will not make the necessary adjustments.
Both machines are AirSense 10 Autoset. I bought this machine online at SleepRestfully.com
My current plan is to use the newer machine here and take the older machine to Spain. However, the older machine is working fine and I could just use it in the US and newer machine in Spain. It that case, all I need to do is to copy the prescription to the new machine.
Thanks for your advice

Hello NewBMW. You can change the settings yourself. Take a look here:

https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap- ... tup-manual

and scroll down until you find your machine.
Oscar software is available at https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/

It won't talk to "the database",you'll have to learn to use the sd card.

You say you are using Autosets, but your profile shows an AirCurve S bilevel...much different machine.

Different models do different things with different options.
https://www.resmed.com/us/en/consumer/p ... ep-devices

CPAP/APAP or AirSense models are a single pressure

AirCurve models are dual pressure machines

You don't tell people you're a Chevy guy and then show them a picture of a Cadillac

roughly the same in a sedan and a pickup truck..

They've both (probably) got four wheels and an engine... but things start diverging from there.

if you don't want bad advice, then you shouldn't tell people you have something you don't.

Ah, I understand, I think there's a suitable response floating around out there:
