Elite

Post by michael_schaap » Wed Dec 06, 2006 6:12 am

Hello all. Going back to the DME to pick up an Elite today. I'm sleeping ok but am waking up a few times at night. I'm sure the information that the elite gives could tell me if I'm waking up from apnea events at any rate.

Talk to you later!

Congrats Michael! IMO, The ResMed S8 Elite is simply the BEST straight CPAP made. I believe that you'll find its convenient display of essential efficacy data on its LCD screen will be enormously useful for you.

Please make sure to let us know how you're doing, from time to time.

Cheers!

Chuck

Be sure to ask us here if you need to know how to access the settings or data on your machine in case the DME didn't already show you

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

You can take your tongue outta yer cheek now, Dreamstalker!

Congratulations on your new Elite, Michael. I have an Elite too. I hope you get good results and sleep well with it! (Don't you just love getting these new toys?)

Snuffles

I too have a "elite"

Post by Snuffles » Sun Dec 10, 2006 3:45 am

Hi there,

I too have a "elite" but mine's a older version....Mine's a S 6 elite. Being alot older and having less features then the S8 elite, say lacking a humidifer and other features it has served me well.

Besides a few hiccups...it has done well.

The 'Elite' is a nice machine - the S6 was sooo quiet, The S7 was ok noise wise, great therapy wise (well it was quiet compared to the S7 Spirit & VPAP III which were essentially the same physical devices - just different software), the S8 is again very quiet & so tiny & another great therapy machine.

Very good machines all round & good for therapy

Cheers

Elite settings

Post by EeyoreJohn » Mon Dec 11, 2006 3:04 pm

Okay... I will bite. I am a newbie with an S8 Elite... I am happy with my equipment so far and treatment, but more information is always desired. For some odd reason, though <major sarcasm>, the doctor's office did not include a clinical setup manual, and I only have access to the standard menu option. I'm able to change my ramp time, change mask type, view usage hours, and # of usages... but other than that, they have me locked out.

How would I enable it please just to view some of the data from the LCD since I do not have a software option?

Thanks for everyone's help! I prepared for the worse, but so far, with all the information from the active members of this forum, I am having no problems. I am sure I have avoided lots of issues already by the experience of others. But since I am only 3 days into this, I am sure I will have some waiting for me... but that will just give me some information to pass on to others.

Thanks again!

Another Duh! moment for me

Post by EeyoreJohn » Mon Dec 11, 2006 9:41 pm

Never mind... Once I saw my machine tonight, the picture of buttons being pressed that I saw in this forum made perfect sense now. I never put it together until now... duh!

Thanks again.
