Why do private messages stay in the outbox?

Same reason one's former girlfriends don't listen to the voicemail messages one leaves?

this reminds me of something. i once knew a guy, not really a friend but more of a pest, who would leave five separate messages on my answering machine, asking me to call him back.

it annoyed the hell out of me, because ONE message would've done it.

Does adding someone to a foe list prevent them from being able to PM you and/or prevent you from seeing that they've PM'ed you?

just like posting in the forum. they can post a pm to you, but you don't see it unless you choose to display the post.

You *can* set it up so that PMs from foes are deleted before you even see them, under 'rules folders and settings' in the PM window, but that's not automatic.
