Distiller for water?

What about something like this? When the Zombie Apocalypse happens, you can switch from making CPAP-water to "Likker" and be the barter-master of your neighborhood.

In all seriousness, the cost/benefit for one of these stills is too lop-sided to be worthwhile just to distill water for CPAP. Most folks will be fine with regular ol' tap water, unless your tap water is highly mineralized to where you are growing stalagmites in your reservoir. In that case, it's really tough for most users to justify distilling their own water when you can buy it so cheap at the store.

But *dang* these things are as purty as a work of art!

While I know you're just being "funny", no, not everyone can, and some people have trouble handling that heavy bottle trying to refill their humidifier, too.

Neither can I anymore. only even worse. I no longer use the HH period. I have a big container of ice and water, lasts all night. no HH to clean. Saves electric so I can keep the bedroom at 65 degrees F. year around. And No my neighbors don't pay my bills. Jim

When recovering from CTR surgery, I needed my water in much smaller containers.
Also when bursitis hit my right shoulder.
Once the body was willing. Now it cooperates under protest.

Has anyone considered using dehydrated? It's much lighter, and takes less space to store. Of course... there is the added step of reconstituting it with water before you use it. I forgot that step once. Really dried me out.

Seriously, though, when I travel on a day or two trip, I just bring some distilled water in a rinsed out soda bottle. I could fill my s8 twice with 20oz, if I recall. Maybe a helper could "break down" your gallon into more manageable bottles?

You have to really be careful using dehydrated water, in your HH, put in too much and when the water rehydrates it will expand and break the HH Tank. Jim

When you get to your room, go to the minibar, take out those nice little bottles of booze, dump them into the toilet and refill them with the distilled water, Easy to pack up! Jim

Or, just use tap water, like Europeans do... (their manuals don't mention distilled water, maybe their tap water is better?

Tap water is usually all right--but give it a good sniff first.
Some cities add a "touch" too much chlorine.

My well water has a lot of mineral. I think it's lime. I used it for a while, but when I started getting a white "crust" I cleaned with vinegar and switched to distilled. It worked fine, though, other than that.
