Knocked my machine off the night table twice this past week

Ultimately I try to never put any device that moves air on the floor unless it's my air purifier. I keep all my computers and other electronics on top of a table at least 2 feet off the floor, especially if you have carpet or critters in your house. Keeping a cpap on the floor is going to increase the amount of gunk being sucked into the filter and even the machine by a lot.

Keep the machine on or near the floor and get a longer hose. Hopefully the water did not get into the blower or under the humidifier plate.

I do to hope You didn’t get Water in Your ResMed neither.

I Agree On this too! Because of Roaches and other Creeppy Crawlers, They can crawl through Your Mask Openings into Your Machine.

So, after 4 months of easily adapting to using a cpap machine, this past week I've knocked the machine off my night table onto myself (it's on a shelf a little above head height) waking me.
I do turn side to side occasionally during the night, but twice now I guess I've wrapped the hose around myself, causing the fall onto me.

Water is then in the hose from the fall, so I have to drain it before trying to get back to sleep around 4AM!

Can anyone offer a suggestion on how to avoid this, besides the wiseguy answer of don't move................

I really liked this for hose management. It is small enough to take along for travel, and easy to use with Command Adhesive to attach to the headboard or wall in a hotel or cruise ship cabin. I made sure I had a hook and a bunch of adhesives in my CPAP case.

I no longer use it because with the Bleep routing the hose UP doesn't seem to work as well (for me, at least) as with a hose that swivels.

One thing to keep in mind is that the machine sucks in many gallons of air every minute, so the cleanliness of the drawer likely doesn't matter for long.

My mom's machine (in the same house) is kept on the floor next to her recliner. Every time I check her filter, it is overdue for a change. And of course, when the cover fell off during a trip, she had no filter at all and sucked in dog hair.

My machine goes months and months with the filter looking brand new. It does seem to stay a lot cleaner in that drawer than next to my mom's chair

Well, that makes sense, I bet if you got a little table, her's wouldn't pick up as much pet hair too

That would be awesome, but nothing will fit there. It sits on the floor between the recliner and a cabinet with shelves. I would love for her to put it on the shelf, but she has too many other things on that shelf. Perhaps I could make her a protective "box" that would at least limit the bumping and abuse. The dog is rather clutzy and manages to trip over it. Right now, *I* am the one checking on her filters. Otherwise, she would use the same filter for years.

Just back from a 3 week trip to China. It was awesome! All my planning worked!

My luggage with the 7-500ml bottles filled with distilled water was 45lbs, under the 50 limit. By the end of the trip my bag was under 40, not much to buy there.
I didn't want to use their tap water, even in the 5 star hotels, and I chose to drink the bottled water instead of using it for the machine.
It was the right decision because finding distilled water, even with our tour guide would have been difficult and very inconvenient.
All of the hotels, and cruise cabin had night tables no higher than the bed, so no issues that way.
I just didn't wash out the hoses while there, didn't want to use their water for that, just cleaned it well when I got home.
I changed the filter once home, it was dirty.

Now at home, my cpap is in my night table drawer, and that seems to be the solution. I'm very grateful to the people who suggested it, the solution was right there in front of me but that idea hadn't crossed my mind.

Oh, one more thing. I didn't adjust the time settings on the cpap, so the reports in Oscar look weird with 2 sleep sessions separated by many hours in a day (China is 12 hours ahead of Eastern time).
I did catch a cold half way through the trip which I'm still trying to shake. It stubbornly refuses to leave, still coughing a fair bit. The cpap's humidier eliminates any stuffiness I feel going to bed.
