Hello:
I use a Philips DreamStation which I got back in 2017 before that I had another Philips CPAP unit which I used for 5 years (this was the very first unit I had). I discovered that cockroaches have gotten into the humidifier unit after the exterminator comes once a month. How they get in is baffling but they come back as it must be safe there. I do my best to clean it out and close the unit up. But every month they reappear. I am afraid to use harsh chemicals because I breath at night with the unit.
I need help to know what to do.
Thank you in advance for any assistance and guidance!

Assuming the filters are in place at the air intake, probably the only way they could get in your tank is through the mask and hose. Get some type of breathable cloth bag and rubber band it around your mask......and see if that solves your problem.Big Apple wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2019 2:42 pmHello:

Yuck. In your shoes, I would do the following each month before the exterminator folks come: empty the tank. Wipe dry. Take the whole lot (mask, hose, tank, unit) and put it in a giant zip lock. Take it out right before bed.
Machine: Aircurve 10 Vauto (Prior S9 VPAP)
Mask: Quattro Air FFM and AirTouch F20 FFM

Hire a better exterminator.
You should not need one EVERY month.
And do the bag thing.

I agree, bag it when the exterminator comes (all parts and attachments). Also, if possible, put it in the car while the exterminator is in the house.

Big Apple, how is your amphibian population? Why are you having so many bugs?
I would be afraid to leave my laptop or cpap in my car in Florida. It can get a zillion degrees in there.
~~~but if you've got a lovely garage (
Began XPAP May 2016. Autoset Pressure min. 8 / max 15. Ramp off. ERP set at 2. No humidity. Sleepyhead software installed and being looked at daily, though only beginning to understand the data.
