Download Resmed data if out of the USA

Post by Nomadusa » Sun Sep 29, 2019 7:20 am

I have a Resmed 10 aircurve auto and the Mini Resmed. Love both. They work well. The Aircuve 10 auto has the SD chip, to record sleep data, and a (useless to me) cellular connection to the company so you can view results on their website an analyze data. However I am not in the USA at the moment, and there seems no way to transmit the data, or have it hook up to a wifi or bluetooth connection to analyze the data. The Mini Resmed has a bluetooth connection that I can monitor with my phone. I looked at the SD chip data files, i could not open them, they can not be read by my mac.

Has anyone found a hack to transfer the data from the Aircuve 10 to a mac, or somehow get it to communicate with a local hot spot or something somewhere other than the USA? You would think for the cost of the Aircuve 2 they would include a bluetooth connection or wifi for when someone travels out of USA cell phone coverage.

When I do get back to the USA, will the Aircuve 10 upload all the data it's accumulated over the period from the SD card to the profile website using any American the cellular network? What about European cell networks? Thanks for any response.

All the data you need is on your machine's Sleep Report. Available the minute you turn off the machine in the AM. All you need is the proper setting. Go to your SETTINGS...look for ESSENTIALS...set it to PLUS. You will get your AHI for the day, Week, Month. Average pressures, Average Usage and more.. Have you looked at your Sleep Report?

I don't know why you're complicating things by suggesting what you want to do is not possible because you're not in the USA. Had you been in the USA you would face the same challenges.

The Mac is perfectly capable of reading ResMed data from SD Cards, I transfer to my iMac all the time.

ResMed AirSense and AirCurve don't connect locally using WiFi or BlueTooth.

Two choices are:
  • Physically move the SD Card from your device to your Mac.
  • Get a Toshiba FlashAir WiFi SD Card. Leave it in your AirCurve and now you can download wirelessly to your Mac.

Do you really suspect that there are major issues with your therapy?

If not, just stop worrying about it, enjoy your vacation, and wait until you get home to take care of it.

BTW, you should be able to connect with your hotel's WiFi, and then bluetooth to your machine (in almost any country).

P.S. What country are you in?

Given the AirCurve does not have WiFi or Bluetooth support why should he be able to connect to the hotel's Wifi, and connecting to WiFi has nothing to do with Bluetooth.

The data will download for your DME when you get home, a year of sufficient data for MyAir is stored on the machine
