My Airsense 10 Autoset has a CDMA modem inside, using Verizon Wireless network. They are shutting down their CDMA network end of 2019 so I expect many modems won't work in 2020 anyways:

I'm guessing newer Airsense 10 units have an LTE modem - mine is from early 2015

I am new to the forum, to CPAP (for about six weeks now) and just started using sleepyhead this week. I noticed that my Resmed airsense 10 doesn't transmit session information to Myair for compliance records while the SD card is in place, not until I remove it from the slot in the machine. Will it transmit information to Myair with a Flashair in place or must it be removed first?

Thank you
Hi, I'm new as well and I'd appreciate as much help as possible. I don't have cell service where I live. I have a flashair card and its configured (i think). How do I get my data to transmit from my Resmed airsense 10 to My Air without needing to do anything? is that even possible? I downloaded Flashpap but its just as confusing so I'm not sure where to go from here as I can't seem to direct Flashpap to directly sync with my air since it only allows me to sync with a downloaded application on my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

It's not possible to do what you are wanting to do....get your data to MyAir. If you don't have cell service there is simply no way to transmit it to MyAir.
Now you can use a Flash card and send it to software on your computer but that's all. Even if you get it to software on your computer there is no way for you to send anything to MyAir. It's via cell service from the machine itself or nothing.

It isn't critical that you have access to MyAir Data. Most of what you would see on the MyAir website is also available on the machine's LCD screen.
The detailed data is on the SD card and any DME could get the data off the card if they need it for some reason....it has everything that My Air would have plus a lot more.

You can't.

palerider, I'm setting up my new Autoset 10. It came with the modem turned on and *without* an SD card so I just bought a card (not flash, just SDHC) and put it in the machine and turned Airplane mode ON. (I don't want the modem enabled while I'm sleeping at night.)

So just to confirm: If I turn Airplane mode back off during the day, my data will transmit to the DME just fine, and I can leave the SD card in the machine?

Yes....Correct on both counts. Not sure just when it transmits but it will eventually get it sent to the ResMed cloud where the DME can go get it.

Good to see you again. Hope you all are still doing great.

Hello, dear Pugsy! Good to e-see you and hope all is well with you, too.

Fellow papper and hubby suffered a heart attack last year on the eve of our 2nd anniversary, but he's recovering beautifully thanks to his commitment to cardiac rehab, WFPB lifestyle, and, well, *love* :)

I don't think the machine will transmit when you are asleep. When I first got mine, I would check the MyAir site early in the morning, and it normally would not have the previous nights data. My machine usually transmitted around 9:00 in the morning.

Glad to hear hubby is on the mend and of course "love" plays a huge part. I spent all of last Saturday in the ER with my hubby...sigh...still don't know what the problem is but at least know it's not a brain tumor. Now he gets to go to PCP and get referrals to specialists and his ass chewed for putting back on the weight he lost. Do you know what the dumb ass actually had the nerve to say to me..."I just don't know how I put it back on" :lol: :lol: :lol: I told him that I did...it was the elbow moving all the food to his pie hole. :shock:

yeah, priceless and you would have to know when he made the statement...immediately after downing a bag of cheetos in the ER from the vending machine because it was by then around 4 PM and breakfast was long gone. Poor baby was "starving". :lol:
At least it was a small bag instead of his usual biggest bag available size.

Love it -- Cheetos in the hospital vending machine. Go figure!

It is a ridiculous set up using cellular Wi-Fi to connect to send data. There is way more chance of having no cellular coverage than having no Wi-Fi coverage. I just received my airsense 10 and I am considering returning it for just that reason. My medical practitioner does not receive my data but I still would like to see it In my computer for myself. Glad I found this forum as I would like to follow up on the idea of a flash card. No idea what that is but I am sure Google will assist.
You would return it to what end? So that you could get a wi-fi enabled machine of some sort?

On a ResMed there are really four ways of getting at the data.
a) Going to the clinical menu and showing the sleep report. Easy to do but not the easiest viewing or most complete data;
b) Using the cellular modem and then getting the data from MyAir. Limited by cell service, even less data than (a) and not the best display;
c) Using a wifi enabled SD card and then OSCAR. Complete data and good formats -- but a bit twitchy to make it work;
d) Use an SD card with a USB card reader and then OSCAR. Complete data and good formats.

If you had a Respironics, you could do something similar to (a) thru (d) plus also bluetooth to a phone app. Limited data and not great formats. Plus I prefer the feel of my ResMed (I have tried both) -- my treatment efficacy is my higher priority.

So, there is a little slot covered by a rubber sort of cover. Flip it open and there in a SD slot. You don't need a special brand card and a lower capacity card works just fine. Insert the card. Sleep. Turn off the machine. Eject the card -- you can do this daily, monthly, or whenever you feel like pulling data.

Place the card in your USB card reader attached to a PC with OSCAR installed. Download the data. Reinstall the card into your AirSense. Done.

Yes, that is correct. Just make sure that the card is in the machine while you're sleeping.

The card and the cell modem don't have any kind of interaction.
