Dream Station Water Bubbles Out
Dream Station Water Bubbles Out
How can I fix the following?
Recently, when my Dream Station is running, I hear a gurgling sound and find that the water is the reservoir is bubbling out of the machine. I usually fill it below the recommended water fill line.

Welcome to the forum.
How do you know that the water in the chamber is blowing out into the hose?
What is the humidity setting?
Are you using a heated hose or not?
What is the ambient temperature in your bedroom?

Thanks for responding.
I woke up and saw the water running out and that is was all over my bedside table.
From best I could tell the humidity setting is zero (0).
No heated hose.
The ambient temperature in my bedroom is generally 78 degrees.

Re: Dream Station Water Bubbles Out
Sounds like a leak in the water chamber...call up whomever you got your machine from and explain the situation and get a new water chamber.
Respironics dry box humidifier systems are darn near impossible for the air flowing over the water to blow up into the hose.
Water on your night table....prime suspect is a leak in the water chamber somewhere.

Thanks -- will do.
Re: Dream Station Water Bubbles Out
Of course, check the tank for cracks! If it's the tank, that can be replaced easily and inexpensively.
If you can't find any visible cracks, fill the tank with water and place it on a dry towel in the daytime. See if the towel stays dry.

Re: Dream Station Water Bubbles Out
Sorry to have to ask but how full was it? I hear the same gurgling if I over fill mine and some water comes out.
10 to 15 cm h20
Re: Dream Station Water Bubbles Out
That was my first thought, but the OP says that (s)he usually doesn't go over the line. I guess that you're right to question it, as usually is not the same as always.
Re: Dream Station Water Bubbles Out
It Al depends on how you fill it up to. If it's on a table it's easy to see how much water is in there, I usually hold the reservoir in my hand while filling so it's easier to overfill and not realize it.

Re: Dream Station Water Bubbles Out
I have a resmed aircurve water chamber... when I fill mine to the fill line... I have an extra insensitive to not over fill it because I usualy fill it while its sitting in the bed. The fill line also corresponds to the far left lip of the water chamber before you close it... if I over fill it, the excess leaks on my bed, so I'm usualy good about not sleeping on wet sheets.
I like the advice of filling it with water then leaving it in a clean paper towl... if the towel gets wet you have a leaky chamber. Wouldn't be the first time for that sort of issue.
If it's not leaking... make sure you whole machine is on a flat completely level surface just I case you have it on s tilted surface that is allowing water to go somewhere it shouldn't
Best of luck!
