If the OP really feels (s) he needs more humidity or just doesn't like the tray being 80% full, (s)he can switch to a heated hose.
Huh?

Using a heated hose doesn't mean that a setting of 3 gives more humidity than the setting of 3 with a non heated hose.
We don't know if he coils his heated hose inside the HH! Could be! Jim

Northern Nevada is almost always dry. Spent 15 years there. If its not raining or more humid than normal and if you don't have a house humidifier going maybe you should have your DME check your machine out.
Good to know that. Where did you live? I live in Carson City, the state's capital.
I was in Silver Springs, out by Lake Lahontan.
Very nice! I would hate to live in that area though. I drove through it a few times and I think it is mostly a dessert. But I guess Carson City is too, lol!
Hot in summer, cold in winter. But it was a good place to raise kids. Lots of land. I'm an Arizona girl at heart tho so when we had an opportunity to come home, we grabbed it. I much prefer the low desert.

Not sure how relevant to this thread, but in my Dreamstation Go, there are two tabs at the bottom of the heater plate that must mate with two slots in the water tank. If you push the water tank in while in a hurry, those two tabs may slide underneath the slots instead of into the slots, causing the tank to be slightly raised, and hence, not contacting the heater plate. This will cause the heater plate to sense a tank dry out and not heat any more.

Rotten design.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Very nice pictures! Thank you for taking the time to post them. I could never live in Arizona like you...way too hot, and scorpions, haha. I am originally from upstate NY, where it is cooler. But (northern) Nevada is good too.

Interesting. I don't think you can close my chamber without the water tray being seated correctly. I will try though. That could have been the problem. But mine chamber was fully closed.

I grew up here. We had a pool so it attracted the critters. I never got stung. The when we moved to Nevada, I got stung. First time ever.

Huh?

Using a heated hose doesn't mean that a setting of 3 gives more humidity than the setting of 3 with a non heated hose.

Sometimes, the humidifier will cut back to prevent condensation in the hose. If this is happening, then a heated hose will help. Otherwise, you're correct, it won't matter.

Only in auto everything humidity mode...auto hose air temp and auto humidity delivery....and that's a maybe.

I use a heated hose...I use a set humidity level. I can tell you right now that the machine doesn't cut back on humidity when I get condensation in the hose.
The humidifier could care less what is happening in the hose (heated or not).
