ResMed Sleep Report on Awakening is Old Data!?

Post by Viraj3474 » Mon Aug 12, 2019 4:20 pm

A sleepy newbie here! I'm going to probably ask a very basic question, but I'm going to post it here anyway! I really need to understand this so here goes: I need to know why the sleep report upon awakening this morning (Monday the 12th) on the ResMed AirSense 10 was showing me the data from the night previous!! That's what it sure seems like happened. I then checked my ResMed "MyAir" app and the date showed Sunday August 11, but the data wasn't current! Where is my report from the late p.m of Sunday August 11 and early a.m. hours of Monday August 12?

I KNOW that I slept (or used the cpap) longer than the 4:56 hours, going to bed at 10:15 the night before, fiddling around with my mask fit, then falling asleep, then fiddling again with the mask fit, then sleeping all the way till 7:20ish a.m. on Monday the 12th. I slept longer than any other night. I felt FAR better than the night before where the 4:56 hours could have been the usage hours. I DID feel lousy that night. The numbers today don't fit how I'm feeling. I'm totally confused. How do the cpac mfrs setting up these sleep reports?

I'm not a Resmed person but I think it's been posted about updating the data is set for noon. Jim

Patient data will be transmitted from the AirSense™ 10 or AirCurve™ 10 device one hour after a therapy session has ended. Note: The patient must have cellular coverage to transmit data, and the device must not be in Airplane Mode.

I am not sure what "sleep report" you are referring to. The ResMed site may not have updated when you checked. On some days, my information updated early in the morning (7:00 to 8:00), and other days it would not update until some time during the afternoon.

One possibility is that the date is somehow set wrong.

The cpap day begins at noon--so a night is logged as one "night" from bedtime to arising.
Whether it is named after the night before or the morning after is of no consequence.
It simply DOES NOT MATTER.
Please try to accept that not every thing is logical.

The "sleep report" is what's recorded by the ResMed cpac device from the night before. Yes, I have noticed that the ResMed sleep data isn't always available on their website until later in the afternoon. Today it was recorded fairly early, 10:00 a.m.ish. I'm not totally understanding how ResMed is handling or labeling the night before's sleep and will assume what others posted here is true. No use fighting City Hall and cpac mfrs. It would seem logical that the last bit of sleep data shown on their website must be the most recent (or from the night before). I'm dropping trying to figure out what the heck happened with the earlier question I had.

Thanks much for everyone's thoughts. It seems like you have a friendly group here . . . and with a sense of humor!! I thought a sense of humor was just about dead in the world. Nice to see it isn't on this forum! :D :P

oddly enough (looks around forum) not everyone agrees with that assessment.
