Thanks for the tip.

However I found the mask was pressed into the pillow no matter where my head position is. That seems to be inevitable more or less. Is there a special kind of pillow to prevent this?

I am a side sleeper and found it leaks more in that position sometimes. Do you know a way to solve this?
Is your head position near the edge of the pillow so that your mask (and nose) are hanging over the edge? The mask should not be pressing into the pillow.

Are you using a pillow between your knees to prevent future problems with your hip flexors and spine?
If you sleep on your side, a firm pillow between your knees will prevent your upper leg from pulling your spine out of alignment and reduce stress on your hips and lower back. Pull your knees up slightly toward your chest. The pillow for your head should keep your spine straight. A rolled towel or small pillow under your waist may also help support your spine.

Hi all,

Got my CPAP machine(ResMed S10) with the prescribed pressure : min 4 max 20. I could not take the high pressure when it reached 15/16 or so so I decreased the max down to 13 or 14. I was able to live with this max pressure since then.
You data shows NO evidence that yur machine ever got much over 12, but a low of 4 is WAY too low, and pretty much useless.

LOOK at your data, and set the low to some amount (slightly) less than the lowest pressure it shows WHEN you're asleep, and forget about the max, that is ONLY reached if it is needed.

A standard flat pillow (Walmart, etc.) works best.

If you place your head close enough to the edge of the pillow, the mask will not be pressing into the pillow. Maybe you mean the straps press on the pillow and pull on the mask??

Hi,

yes that's what I meant. The strap always pressed on the pillow and pulled on the mask and caused some sort of leak.
Will those curved Apnea pillow solve this issue?

Thanks.

Between Gramps and I, there are several types of CPAP pillows in the closet. We always went back to a standard flat pillow. On the other hand, you will find people here who swear by one of the specialized CPAP pillows.

If you are determined to try a specialized CPAP pillow, our forum sponsor sells a few types. Maybe you want to read some of the reviews. https://www.cpap.com/cpap-comfort-clean ... bed-pillow
