They are calling deep sleep stage 3 and 4 lumped together. No one gets 90% in stages 3 and 4 added together.
This is the old way of classifying the sleep stages.
Then they are calling REM stage 5. Stage 4 has been done away with and REM is now "stage 4" and there is no stage 5.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_cycle

https://www.tuck.com/stages/
20% of the night in deep sleep is considered normal.

I take anything a phone app might tell me about my sleep with a grain of salt.
I know it says sensors in the phone can tell if you are moving or not but the skeptic in me just can't see it.
It's hard enough to measure sleep status with any accuracy with something that you are wearing.
Well to add to that, I'm in a Sleep number bed that has the top half split so my phone sits on the less active side! Thanks for the URL's I'll read those.

If the diffuser is blocking the hose from attaching to the vent hole part of the Bleep...make the hole larger. I just did a big X and slid it over everything. Didn't even have to take the hose off the vent hole part.

It's ratty looking...probably 5 months of use now but it still works. I actually wrap a thin piece of wire around it to hold it next to the holes because it's so out of shape now it slides down. I need to get a new one but I keep forgetting to order that kind of filter.
In my machine I use the hypoallergenic filters and they are too dense and don't let the air through well enough so I don't have anymore of the mesh cheaper diffusers.

No, no...that's NOT where the diffuser goes...it goes between the vent holes and the hose.
Look at my picture again. Vent holes are barely seen but on the left side you can see them...the filter is below the holes...not above it.

And I am familiar with that filter...I have some of them...they are way to thick to use as a diffuser.

Let me see if I can get you a picture of the 2 side by side so you can see the difference. May take me a bit....I don't know where I put those thicker filters...those are way too dense and thick to be using.

She wants to see if the new setup will work well with the Bleep because she likes using the Bleep.
I see no sense in waiting....I would do the same thing I advised...scratch that curiosity itch immediately.
She can always go back to something else later.
Certainly! The leak line does need work too. It was a misplaced spot to try to work in a "funny". Failed in multiple ways.

@bjhunt01 - I'm a HUGE advocate of the bleep. Hopefully you've been reading enough around here to have noticed. Better than sliced bread. by all means- switch to the bleep.
Funnies are always welcome for some much needed comic relief for all of us CPAP hostages!

I am afraid that those thick filters will block the vented air way too much. I use them in the machine but I won't use them as a diffuser.
I put the filter up next to the vent holes. Picture taken with it away from the holes a little just to show you where it goes in general.
I can still feel the air move out of the filter when I wire it up so it touches the holes. It diffuses it but doesn't block it. I have tested it with my System One machine which will give me a vent rate that isn't just excess leak...so I can tell if it messes with the venting and while it looks ratty...it is just thick enough to diffuse the air but not block it.

I have never tested that thicker filter...I guess I could but it scares me a bit. If I have some time I will test it with the System One machine and see if it really blocks much venting or not.

Yes, thinner not so dense filter and that location. That will work.

Okay - I think I FINALLY understand after carefully rereading. You make a hole (a cross like slit) in the filter. Then using the hole you slide the filter up the hose up to the diffuser, but you didn't have to take the hose off. And you push the filter up to but I'm assuming not tightly against the diffuser? Yes? Am I getting it?

When I first cut the X and made the slot and slid it up to the vent holes it stayed right next to the holes and didn't move around much.
But now with my sliding it off to wash it....the X got enlarged and it doesn't stay up next to the holes (it touches the holes) well so I now wrap a thin wire in a figure 8 pattern around it to hold it up in place so it won't slide down. Actually...it's a big bread tie kind of wire.
So the filter touches the holes...more like the very first picture I showed you above.

I notice that the diffuser can have little edges sticking out like little wings or you can smush them up so they disappear. Which is correct?
See next picture - these are pushed up inside.
