I've tried two Contec CMS-550F. After awhile they start having issues with reporting correct oxygen levels. See chart below. Is there any other oximeter that is recommended to use with Oscar? Would the CMS-50F that is much more be different?
I need something that is reliable but cant afford the official ResMed oximeter. I'd prefer FDA approved or a medical grade that has an alarm and records overnight and gives a graph like the Contec.
What oximeter besides Contec for Oscar that has overnight graph and medical grade?

Wow, that is a very ugly chart.
Have you tried different fingers or on a toe?

I use the Contec CMS60D. It does what you are referencing. As far as I know it will not sync with OSCAR. About $80-$90 bucks on eBay. You can download a user manual for it on google. That will explain more of its capabilities.

what you're seeing are movement artifacts, try a different finger, maybe a bit of tape to help stabilize the sensor.WarpedTrekker wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 6:59 amI've tried two Contec CMS-550F. Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Thanks. That looks like a more substantial device then the one I have and has a more professional finger clip.
What I'd really like is a simple EKG device that I could wear every night. I wore a 2 week Holter monitor again but didn't have any symptoms during it. I need a device that I can wear for several months or longer to pick up these issues.
I'm just not sure what is causing the symptoms. I wake up with a warm sensation in arms and face. Feel like I was struggling to breath but don't really need to take a deep breath. But I got up out of bed this morning and felt dizzy like something was wrong. Then after being up for 15min it went away slowly.
Either my circulation during sleep is low, or my heart is beating super slow or I'm having blood clots, etc. All speculation right now.
I notified my cardiologist. They said if it happens again and is severe to call 911 or go to the hospital to get checked out.

I can't tell you about possible cardiac problems, but low oxygen can be just as serious, particularly if you have 'stop breathing' apnea. The Contec is not a heart monitor. It does give you your pulse rate and your oxygen saturation. What is most important about the O2, is the fact that nocturnal readings can be much different than your daytime readings. More than likely the most desaturation of oxygen takes place during rem. The CPAP alone can help that significantly, but if your O2 is in the low 70's during periods of sleep without CPAP, you may need supplemental oxygen. The Contec should be able to show you the problem and when and if you have low saturation. It won't be able to tell you in what "stage" of sleep though. Just the time of night and a correlation to your heart rate.WarpedTrekker wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 9:05 pmThanks. I put 2 lithium AA batteries in mine and have done 6 studies ranging in 6 to 8 hours and the battery indicator is still showing strong. It has been a while since I have read the manual, but if memory serves me right, it will record for some 24 hours straight. You need to use the "SPo2 Assistant" software to save the readings. Once you go to record a new sleep session the memory in the unit is wiped clean. The software that comes with the unit becomes your sleep O2 history.

SpO2 Graph of last night
Here is what my SpO2 looks like at night. I never go dangerous low, only into middle to upper 80's. Although it causes me to wake up with heart racings.
1 - First pic shows an unusual sharp SpO2 drop from 94% to 89%, with HR increasing to 96bpm+. My fingertip oximeter I slipped on during this time, showed my HR well over 100bpm+.
My ResMed machine showed no CA/OA during this time, yet I was woken up with heart beating rapidly and low oxygen.
2 - Second pic shows HR fluctuation for unknown reason.
3- Third pic shows REM sleep. My SpO2 and HR always fluctuate wildly like this during REM sleep. Is this normal during REM sleep?
Sometimes my HR goes well over 100bpm+, which wakes me up and I feel bad all over. I'm not sure if I'm having night terrors or what.
