I've seen this guy three times now. I thought the other visits were short but he took it up a notch. I think I saw him for maybe a whole 30 seconds.

Proved yet again there're no cpap police
Went in for my appointment with the sleep doc. Its been 6 months and I've made a bunch of changes to my settings since he last saw me. Didn't sleep last night was waiting to be scolded. He walked in says your compliant, you've lost a bunch of weight since I last saw you, good job see you in a year.

not that I really care thanks to you guys but it does irk me that my insurance pays him for that.

I'd like him even better if he would do his job without me having to see him at the office, just charge the INS, and leave me be. If I needed him I'd call him. Did get down once couldn't go for help, called him, he ordered me a "Z" Pack, in 24 hours 'i was almost as good as normal, worth his weight in Gold he was.babydinosnoreless wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 8:35 pmWent in for my appointment with the sleep doc. I have not seen the actual "doctor" for several years.
Medicare pays the same. My case is easy--so far.
If ever I should need the real thing, will he remember me?

Hey!! What you people don't know is that I'm watchin' you! I may be retired, but I can still take you in! The only difference is that I can now be bribed. I like corn dogs... You don't believe me? "Go ahead.... make my day"

Be patient. The wild corn dogs should be ripe in 10 days.Sheriff Buford wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 6:02 amHey!! What you people don't know is that I'm watchin' you! Re: Proved yet again there're no cpap police
My regular ENT referred me to have a sleep study in early 2018. I did and was prescribed a CPAP which I picked up at a DME. I never ever saw the sleep study doctor - EVER! I don't even know his/her name. But my CPAP experience has and is excellent with AHI's at 1.0 or below virtually every night. I have even seen a zero a time or two.
The whole system is a joke. You have to have an Rx from a doctor who has never seen me before during or after. My regular ENT did ask me to drop by 90 days or so after I got the CPAP which I did. He asked if everything was OK and I said yes. No contact since.
Oh well, I got what I needed and life is good.

Whoa
Look more closely at the pic. He is sleeping during the day, must mean he hasn't used his xpap last night!

He probably slept on the job nights, and got promoted to days, so he could show rookies how it's done.roadcycler wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:00 pmWhoa

Or maybe he got called out and was out all night and still had to work the next day. The fact that he's got a gas mask strapped to his left leg and a ballistic shield sitting in the trunk is a dead giveaway. The FBI calls that a clue.Goofproof wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:51 pmHe probably slept on the job nights, and got promoted to days, so he could show rookies how it's done.roadcycler wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:00 pmWhoa

Regarding the seat belt thing, I'm certainly not doing that, as you know. I give warnings for seat belts. Unless it's a kid, then I ticket the parent.

Re: Proved yet again there're no cpap police
My numbers are awesome, but my "sleep hygiene" is off since my bed time wanders and my sleep time can be a bit fragmented at times (in multi-hour chunks). My sleep medicine doctor chats with me about why I'm not sleeping through the night. He takes a short history and finds I am in chronic pain that I hadn't mentioned because it's just part of my life and I didn't think it was causing sleep issues. He suggested I try taking a couple of tylenol at bed time since pain can cause sleep disturbance.
My sleep patterns improved.
He's an awesome doctor. He uses Sleepyhead to analyze my data. He's a partner in my care, not a dictator. Did I mention he's an awesome doctor?
