My RA has recommended Medical Marijuana, by the inhale method, due to severe chronic pain. I've been on it for 10 days
Was hoping for a better and longer sleep mode, but still only receiving 4-5 hours. Usually dispense a treatment hour or so before going to bed. The other numbers are satisfactory
Has anyone been treated accordingly and offer an opinion

I used to take Medical Marijuana for back pain but didn't like how high it made me feel...plus I'd have really bad paranoia if I smoked too much.
Now I am using Harlequin ("a 75/25 sativa-dominant strain renowned for its reliable expression of CBD."). The CBD portion really helps me feel better without any of the other issues I had with regular pot...

I have used organic CBD oil with good success for leg pain due to sciatic issues. It took a few days for my system to respond, but the effects are great. You can adjust the dosage easily as well

Treatments for pain may reduce pain to the point of keeping the pain from waking someone up. But the resulting sleep will not always be restful and efficient because of the impacts that most all medications have on sleep. Drugs involve trade offs. Almost always. Our medical teams are there to help us weigh the trade offs in order for us to make informed decisions.
The impacts of some drugs on sleep are well documented. With other drugs, not so much, for reasons both valid and invalid. Either way, that makes the risk-vs-benefits equations almost impossible to ascertain, especially when there are no real standardizations of potency and when reactions are, um, "highly" individual.

I am experiencing some pretty positive results with some low dose 2.5mg THC edibles in the evenings. I've had several 0 AHI nights and all have been below 1 when I take these small gummies. Normally my AHI is in the 2-3 range, and I just feel a lot more well-rested using cannabis. There's a lot of chemistry going on behind the scenes so there is a tremendous amount that's strain related, and a set of non-medical "budtenders" making recommendations with information far less than scientific. So while there is much positive to be had here, your mileage may differ and it's every bit as much voodoo as it is real medicine. Fortunately, I am all legal now on this front and I'll be able to document what I have going on via sleepyhead and the logs.

Unfortunately, many things that can seriously damage our sleep can also give us a false sense of improved sleep. That can make anecdotal accounts more misleading than helpful. Alcohol is a prime example of that fact.

I lived in a state where recreational was legal I tried both the balance (equal amounts of cbd and thc ) and the elevate (higher thc) tinctures (Strainz brand) and it did nothing for my arthritis. I also tried cbd only. None of it ever felt like it did anything.

True. I am now in a state where only medical is legal but I'm not willing to pay for a medical card when it doesn't help.

Or is your emotion volume control just turned down. The effects are about the same.

Careful with marijuana because it suppresses REM sleep. If you don't believe me smoke it for a long time then stop and watch the REM rebound hard.

In support of your statement:
Low doses of THC (4 to 20 mg) mildly decreased REM sleep in both regular users and nonusers. Interestingly, deep sleep was increased when cannabis was initially used but this effect disappeared after repeated use.
