It's the one listed hoser. Just stay off my threads. I bought it, I was there when they set it up you were not. Besides I thought you were ignoring me.
The Dreamstation CPAP that you currently have in your profile does *not* change pressures.

It's entirely up to you if you want to be willfully ignorant, you do seem to glory in it.

As you would notice, should you look, the chart wiki/index.php/CPAP_models shows that the model you have listed, Dreamstation CPAP REF 200 does NOT have data, it is also NOT auto.

The Dreamstation PRO REF 400 DOES have data, but is not auto.

The Dreamstation AUTO REF 500 does have data, and IS auto. Your allegation that your machine has a pressure range precludes it from being the one that you have listed,

I realize you don't want to hear this, but it is best not to join a group and try to get everybody annoyed with you.

For example, it would really help if you read the post for beginners. It will explain a LOT about the forum, how to use the software, etc.

The machine you chose in your profile does NOT do multiple pressures. You have stated in your posts that your machine is set for 8-12. The machine you listed cannot do that. So, the machine listing must be incorrect since you know that your machine is going up and down. It would help us if you listed the correct machine.

That said, I'm pretty sure any dreamstation auto machine can do the free software. But keep in mind that we need info when you ask questions. Tell us what stage you are at and what you need to get past. Most people are really helpful if you provide the needed information.

Once we have data, we can give you some advice that is not just guessing. For example, we need to know if your events are mostly obstructive or centrals. They have very different ways of treating them, so we can't just assume and expect good results.

We do want to help you, but we need accurate information.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

I was being attacked by paleface before I even started asking questions. This is a fact, I have a respironics dream station, and the clinic changed it from a steady 8 to a variable 8-12. Why is that so hard to understand? I have no idea what you mean by what stage I am at. Last nights reading on dreammapper said my ahi was 13.6. Total clear airway appears were 12, total obstructive apnea so 93, total hypopneas 5. All Spanish to me.

I am not attacking you.

You have asked some questions, and it is clear that you are not getting good therapy. I would like to help you.

Let me translate some of the "spanish".

From the numbers you stated, you have an AHI of 13.6. This is well above the goal of 5.

Your numbers state that the majority of your events are obstructive apneas. Obstructive apneas means that your airway is closing and you are not breathing. The CPAP is designed to hold the airway open, but something is preventing it from doing that.

In order to give you additional help, I will need to ask some questions. Will you answer them?

I will try. Like I said, the pic of the machine looks like mine. It was set at 8 last December and when I went in for a check in January they set it for 8-12.

There are many machines that look similar, but work differently. Like different models of cars - the engines and trim can be different inside.

I strongly suspect that you do not have enough pressure.

Are you willing to change the pressure on your machine?

Should I do that without discussion with my clinic? I have no clue how to do it anyway. I'm seeing them the 30 th. I could try to get a earlier appt.

That is why I am asking you.

You have to weigh up the pros and cons.

If you change nothing, you will continue with a high AHI and frequent wakening.

If you change your own pressure, you may be able to improve your treatment. But you might upset your medics.

If your treatment does not improve, you will have more information to take to your appointment.

I can help you with HOW to do it, but you have to decide if you are willing to take control of your own treatment.

People are trying to help you. But they can't do it without certain information. If you don't know how to find that information, just ask. :) I'm a librarian. I love it when people ask questions.

If you need help verifying which machine you actually have, ask. If you don't feel techy, ask for suggestions on how to get OSCAR or Sleepyhead on your computer.

We can't help you without those two things. They are mission critical. I know you are tired. Starting this sucks. But the rewards are worth it.

Well, what would you do? I know the guy that gave me the machine and equipment, not the doctor I'm seeing, talked about some adjustment I could find on YouTube , not to do it as it could cause blood pressure to drop, don't remember what it is. At first I felt better but lately I'm a bit more tired. My AHI when I did my sleep study was almost 52. Here is the label on the bottom of my machine.

If you want to stick with your instructions that is just fine. Some medical people do not like us to take control of our therapy. But just like you can decide not to take all the little pills in the bottle, or to double your dose, you CAN change your pressure.

You should be able to contact the person who gave you the machine and ask them to tell you again why they didn't want you to make changes. You could also tell them your numbers from dreammapper, and ask if they have any suggestions.

That photo is really helpful! Now I can be sure what machine you have, so any advice I give you can be specific to your machine. Thank you.

There are so many things that can be changed on your machine, Temperatures, pressures, ramps, flex, humidity.......Some of the changes are just to make you more comfortable and have no medical effects, and others can have an effect on your breathing and apnea.

You are allowed full access to changing the comfort effects.

I think maybe humidity is what he was talking about. I know I can adjust the temp of the humidified air. I do have type 2 diabetes and heart issues. I've had a heart attack and 7 stents.
