I've been using my CPAP since 2015 or 2016 and I've never encountered anything like this before. I change my filters regularly and clean my gear frequently so I dont know what could be causing it. It started just in the crease on my nostrils(outside of my nose) but it seems like it's spreading to everywhere my mask sits. I've been washing my face every day, washing my mask, I even changed to a new one and nothing has helped. It's itchy and it hurts, around my nostrils are flaky like they're dry. I thought maybe yeast but treated for it and it didn't go away.
Thing is, I'm not in my home country right now so I cant get to a doctor to ask what exactly is going on, so if anyone has had this happen or could offer advice I would greatly appreciate it. I've been wondering if making a cover for my mask from an old shirt would help, but I dont want to destroy a shirt for nothing.
I've got my gear in my profile, but the mask I'm using is a comfort gel nasal mask, size small.
For reference here is a picture of what's going on. Shiny because I'm trying to put some antibiotic ointment on it during the day to see if it helps right now since nothing else helps, it makes it stop itching a bit at least. https://i.imgur.com/c5aeGth.jpg
Rash on face help
Re: Rash on face help
Lots of people make mask liners from T shirts (or similar material.)

Re: Rash on face help
Use unscented baby wipes on your face and the mask.
In a pinch? Tear a temporary gasket out of a facial tissue.
If that works, get a durable, soft liner from Pad a Cheek.
To stop itching, use a tiny smidge of Neosporin Pain Refief--stops itching, like pain.
Keep it away from your eyes!
