I now have only one dream left in connection with this forum. Something I've yet to accomplish. I've never gotten a thread locked. I mean, I've tried my best to misbehave as best I know how; I just never seem to be able to measure up to that level.

Here are some possible violations of the user agreement on my part in this thread:

1. I have knowingly encouraged inappropriate, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing material to be posted about myself.

2. I have transmitted promotional materials as a guitarist/singer-songwriter by means of pictures of me performing, which could constitute a form of junk mail/spam.

3. My begging for more posts could be considered a form of pyramid scheme.

4. I have impersonated myself by use of borrowed socks.

The waste of CPAPtalk.com resources alone with this stunt OT thread is immeasurable, distracting people from providing real and needed help to OSA sufferers worldwide.

It's not done in stone...that lock thing...it can always be undone if the need arises.

Yes....once I read a "report" I have to do something...and closing the report is the lesser of 2 evils. The other choice I have really messes things up. So I close a report and then decide if I want to do anything about what was brought to my attention.

Well.....while I am sure some find this thread a little irritating....that other thread is even more irritating to me but I can't do a damn thing about it as you yourself said so well in that thread. Freedom of speech has 2 sides.
And those sides aren't always pleasing to the eyes.
My thoughts...personally....if I am going to have to be annoyed by something....so should those other people and I don't really want to do anything to this thread until if/when something can get done about that other thread too.
If it is a thorn in someone's side...so be it.

The nice thing about personal squabble threads...people usually behave themselves in the helping threads when they have a personal squabble thread to go vent in....so even OT squabble threads serve a minor useful purpose sometimes.

So I am all for letting this thread die a nice natural death and fade into history or I am okay with accelerating the process too.
On the fence about it but personally....leaning to a natural death as long as I have that other thorn in my side poking at me.
I am human after all.

Anytime I do anything as a moderator I have to include a reason why I did so and so. I have to make sure it's a damn good reason.

Right now I am not in the best of moods...sigh...makes me a bit prickly and when I already have one thorn deep in my side...makes for a real bitch right now. Didn't sleep so great...rain moved in and that always messes with my back which messes with my sleep which in turn messes with my bitchiness quotient for the day. To top it all off my BPPV acted up today...so double annoyance.
Dizzy and bitchy....not a nice combination at all.

It might be better to "let the OT threads lie" do you can concentrate of the helpful threads at hand. I think all here would agree THOSE THREADS are much more important than this.
