Can extreme stress raise AHI?
I would think that extreme stress can raise AHI.

The only way I can imagine that it would affect AHI is because stress can cause you to sleep poorly, and that *might* show up as a difference in AHI.

Even moderate stress during the day has a tendency to double my AHI.

Extreme stress can make it difficult for a lab to ascertain accurate AHI. And so-called "AHI" as reported by a home-treatment machine, which is only meant to be used as trending data, can be thrown off by stress too. But the point is for PAP therapy to be optimized so that we get the best sleep possible every night no matter our stress. AHI is only a tool for getting there; it is not the point in and of itself.
