Newb's First SleepyHead Results

Post by Amishboy51 » Sun Apr 07, 2019 4:50 pm

I've been using a CPAP for a while, but just tried using SH for the first time recently. I know MyAir isn't super-accurate, but my results have ranged from 100 to "leak/need to adjust mask."

So, after reading Pugsy's Pointers on posting SH charts, I'm going to try to attach yesterday's. If someone can check it out, and confirm that I have a leak issue (or anything else), I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Back out from the zoomed in 1 minute segment so we can see all night long.

There are some brief times in large leak but they are relatively short lived.....so are those leaks waking you up or not?
If not...I wouldn't worry about them.

Thank you for responding, Pugsy; unfortunately, I have no idea how to zoom out from the one minute segment (or what I did to cause that). :(

I recommend you bring your minimum pressure up to at least 12. You are staying around 13 most of the night anyway.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I'm not sure that I understand. Isn't there a range from 8 to 20, and the machine automatically goes to the necessary pressure within the range? :?

As I said, I don’t know how to zoom in (or out). But to answer your question, no, I’m not waking up (that I’m aware of).

Yes, your machine will adjust the pressure, but if you look at your charts, you are spending most of he night around 13 anyway. When you started the night, your pressure stayed at 4 for around 20 minues, then started ramping up to around 13 and stayed there until you shut it off for the first break. When you restarted the machine, it went to 13 within a few minutes, bounced up to around 19 a couple of times before you shut it off again. The third time you stated the machine, it went to 13 almost immediately. Obviously, the machine wants to stay in this area when you are sleeping.
