I did indeed use different tape to save my skin - and it was less effective- too narrow, I think (and much stickier - I will need the goof off this morning). I have some new tape coming from Amazon today. And yes, the leaks woke me, and hubby. Some of the leaks were from bleeps misplacing, some from the mouth tape, but some were from the QR clip/dreamport join. I also woke several times to expel excess air from aerophagia.

I want to sleeeeep. I am back to daytime naps this week. :(

Leaks had me awake on and off last night.

working on a phone app to keep a record of waking.

Why do you think the Bleep mask is leaking?

I don't think it is so much the Bleep as it is the mouth opening leaking because the tape she is using to tape her mouth shut is starting to come loose as the night goes on.

Remember when using a nasal interface mask there are 2 places for leaks....mask and mouth.

I stuck a bleepport on in a bad spot, and i got a leak - but Pugsy is right - it is the mouth leaking that is causing the real problems.

You can always use the cut off ends to cover up mistakes...

I know. I dont always find the mistakes until the middle of the night, and then I am unwilling to get out of bed.

Using Bleep, mouth taping and cervical collar

Waiting for sleep studies to arrive in the mail, so that I can see why they didnt put me onto Bilevel at 15cms.

Probably as they did a cpap titration study and get to charge your insurance for another bipap one if needed make more $$$

That would be funny - if not for the fact that the study was to decide if I should be on bilevel....

Just had a bad cold - My AHI went up for a couple of nights, and I decided to use my backup FFM.

I also used a chin support collar for a few days, but I forgot it last night. I'm not sure it is making any difference.

I got my sleep study report from the lab. I am extremely disappointed that they did not switch me to Bilevel at 15cms of pressure, nor did they give any indication of why they did not switch me to bilevel.

I am delighted to see a thinner band of nice looking sleep in my graph around 4.00. Perhaps I slept.....

this is (bleeping) ridiculous! even as someone who doesn't know much about the technicalities of sleep apnea, i can PLAINLY see your pressure needs to go up.

what's it going to take to convince the doctor?
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Probably a backhander or shares in ResMed.

Waking with my mouth so dry I have to spend time ungumming it before I can say thank you for my morning coffee.......

I assume this is due to my jaw falling down and the air trying to escape through my taped lips (some of it does)

I have been taping vertically, from upper lip to under chin to try to avoid the jaw drop, but apparently it isn't working.

Currently running at 19-20, AHI is good, but I am waking in the night. (leaks, events)

I can get unbroken sleep if I ditch the mask and take a nap - I have had several PAP-free naps this week.

I am now sleeping with no pillows, just a small travel pillow, which fits under my neck when I am on my back, and under my ear when on my side. It is my attempt to keep my airway open for back sleeping.
