Choosing a machine

Post by jackson101 » Mon Nov 27, 2006 11:12 am

I WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH SLEEP APNEA, 35 WAKING EVENTS PER HOUR. NOT ENTIRELY SURE WHAT THAT MEANS YET, AS I HAVE NOT HAD MY FOLLOW UP VISIT YET. WHEN THE OFFICE CALLED TODAY TO SCHEDULE MY NEXT VISIT, I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE ASKED TO PROVIDE THEM WITH MACHINE TYPE AND RPOVIDER.

I'M SURE THERE ARE MANY GOOD MACHINES, I WOULD LIKE SOME INFO. ON WICH MACHINES TO STAY AWAY FROM, MASK TYPES THAT ARE A PROBLEM AND WHAT OPTIONS ARE IMPORTANT. ANY HELP IN THIS AREA WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Click on the yellow lightbulb (above) "Our Collective Wisdom" and do lots of reading. Then, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

So many of the answers to the questions you ask are subjective and each of us has our own personal preferences. Look through some of the threads and you'll see what equipment most of us use as it is in our "profile" and in each of our posts.

Then do lots of reading on this forum's sponsor's website:
