My husband has a MacBook Air and is going to see if he can figure it out. If he can, I can try and post it.

Yes, SleepyHead is still available and from the usual sources.
Mark didn't pull the plug totally. He just isn't going to be working on a new version or fixing any bugs in the current version.

Thank you. I will wait 2 weeks and then try and get the data.

Why? The longer you wait, the longer it will be till things get adjusted right.

Because that is what I said I needed and I want her to have some time up at a higher EPAP for me to look at.
She's going to snail mail me her SD card. I already know she likely needs more EPAP...no sense in her sending me 2 nights worth of data.
After I said all that stuff about snail mailing to me I see she is going to try the MacBook route.

Edit...some stuff out because PR was talking about one thing and I was talking about another.....

So the 2 weeks was if she snail mailed it to me but if her husband can get SleepyHead up and running on the MacBook then no need to snail mail it to me and by all means....let's see the data now and not wait.

My husband is away for the weekend so I will try after that. Last night I raised the epap to 17 and my AHI was 8. So some improvement.

How many centrals/clear airways...and how many OAs and hyponeas...over how much time?

Is there a rise time setting on the PR Auto-BIPAP when in the auto mode? I am wondering if a faster rise to prescribed IPAP would maybe help prevent some of those hypopneas/flow limitations that may exist.

I don't think so...at least not if Flex is used. I would need to go play with mine to see...and I would need to see what she is using now first as well. Is she using Flex now or is it off and going back to the rise time defaults.
Plus I think if the timing is okay right now with inhale and exhale I might instead of altering the timing simply increase PS a little to get higher IPAP for those hyponeas...and again I need to see the breakdown of the AHI as well. Increasing EPAP increases IPAP anyway...and it might be enough of an IPAP increase to take care of those hyponeas as a byproduct of taking care of the OAs with more EPAP.

8.24 hours but it took about 1 or 2 hours to fall asleep. clear 27, obstructive 13 and hypopneas 28. My IPAP 90% went up to 20.

I would be really interested to see when all those events were flagged since you know you spent a lot of time awake.

I once was working with a guy whose AHI was 20 something...lots of all sorts of events then we figured out he was having some serious insomnia issues. Decided to target the insomnia issues and he wouldn't lay for hours with mask and machine on. Once that got all sorted out his AHI was barely 2.0 and never changed the pressure.

I really want to see the detailed report so I can see when those events are getting flagged.

Pugsy I do have insomnia at times. I’ve had to take meds for it since I was 20- I am now 56. But I can feel the difference when I have a night with low AHI. One night last week on Cpap I hit 1.4 and felt like a million bucks. Do you think I should raise my epap again tonight? Maybe up to 18 or 19?

I would raise EPAP based on what you needed when you were on APAP if nothing else.
EPAP is the most critical setting in terms of a baseline pressure for stenting the airway open and preventing the collapsing in the first place.

So yes...if it were me I wouldn't be dragging my feet getting EPAP up to 18 or 19.

All this is assuming you were asleep and the events are real....and we know that you slept some and especially when using the apap the time frame that you did. It's not like this bipap is your first machine.
You can always come back down later if it turns out that most of your events weren't asleep events.
If you can handle another increase in EPAP...by all means give it a shot. But if the change in pressure adds to discomfort and/or makes the insomnia worse...back up and increase in slower smaller increments. You have to get the sleep first for the data to be valid.
Awake data can really muddy up the evaluation process.
