Percentage of what??? PB or Large Leak??? That's just the percent of time you might have spent over the entire night.
RERAs...we actually like to see none or maybe one. For sure don't like to see groupings.
I suspect you are having a lot of arousals which the machine can't flag because it really can't tell if you are asleep or not.
The arousals you may or may not remember and they may be related sometimes to airway restrictions or they may simply be spontaneous arousals and we don't know the cause.
So the only thing to do is increase the press until they improve??
And you mentioned the machine may not tell when I'm asleep or not... So you can have respiratory arousals even when you're not asleep? If I understand you..

Arousals imply sleep in my mind....you have to be asleep to wake up from sleep.
So no...you can't have respiratory related arousals while awake but bear in mind that for a RERA to really happen the person has to be for sure asleep and the machine doesn't know if you are asleep or not.
So what it flags as a RERA is the machine's best educated guess....that the breathing pattern it senses resembles the pattern that happens when a person has a Respiratory Event Related Arousal. It's flagging the pattern of breathing and not the arousal itself.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Put the machine in auto mode and set the pressures 11 to 20
Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

You may have tried auto and perhaps they were 3 bad nights, but I doubt being on APAP was the cause. You have been struggling, during part of the struggles you now believe APAP to be responsible.
My AHI has been up from it's usual 0.3-0.4 lately to about 0.6-0.8. The Maple Leafs have been losing a lot the last week. They better start winning again so my AHI will get back under 0.5.

Not blaming auto pap... Maybe I will give it another try.. I did also try the exhale relief and auto at the same time. Maybe 1 at a time ..

When somebody suggest something, and your response is;
I tried it..worse 3 nights ever.
Then you are blaming it.
If you have trouble getting past this APAP mode problem, then take your machine put it in APAP mode, and set your min pressure to your current CPAP pressure and then your max to 0.2 higher.
You won't feel the difference. In a couple days, spread your range a bit, eventually your range will be sufficient where people can look at your graphs and then start giving you targeted advice based on the devices reactions to your events and limitations.
CPAP is tough enough without also fighting monsters under the bed.

I have been trying to identify things that are interfering with my sleep,
I am a side sleeper, I prefer the left side over the right but this happens more on the left side than the right..
In the middle of sleep all of a sudden my cheeks puff up really big, sort of like when you pull the cord on a inflatable raft or like blowing up a ballon.. Sleeping than bang awake and one of my biggest problems for me is falling back to sleep after being awakened..(even before cpap)
But now I lay there and it's happening more and more I'll start drifting to sleep than bang sometimes it just won't stop...in the beginning I would try and go back to sleep but if it kept happening I would ditch the machine and go to sleep without.. Now I keep trying but 9 times out of 10 my sleep is done for the night. One time my bite guard flew out In to my mask
Is this due to the type of mask i use, because I don't recall this happening 5 years ago when I tried cpap then I was using ( with much trouble) a nasal mask...
.
Any advice
Thanks

I try to keep my tongue pressed against the roof of my mouth
Do you think my bite guard which I wear on my top teeth is preventing me from getting a good seal...
Thanks

What settings do you have on your machine now?
The puffed out cheeks must be because you exhale thhrough your throat instead of your nose, and the air cannot escape your lips.
If you are wearing your full face mask, it is OK to open your lips and let the breath out - you don't need to avoid mouth breathing

Sorry for delay, moving and hospital stay from food poisoning.
My pressure is 10.
Still feeling worse, next week is my last appointment with my current sleep doctor..need to find new insurance and doctor...
Have a list of complaints for my doctor...see what he recommends
Funny thing is was in the hospital 6 nights..spent the first 3 in the bathroom....But when I started to feel better I actually had my first decent nights sleep (3 really) since starting cpap...And I didn't have it with me It was great to sleep through the night And not deal with the machine... And all that stuff...it's strange when I'm on the machine my morning brain fog seems to be worse.. My wife noticed when she visited me that I was more coherent than usual so early in the morning.
