Importing data blues (SleepyHead); Geneva Switzerland

Post by VeeBeeMee » Fri Mar 15, 2019 9:20 am

Dear CPAP friends,
I live in Geneva Switzerland and could use some online or face-to-face support on sleepyhead.

Here's my problem. Every time i go to file and attempt to import data it crashes, with error message, "OpenSource CPAP Research & Review has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. please close the program."

My Dell computer specs
Windows 10 enterprise. processor intel(r) core(TM) i7-56000 CPU @ 2.60Ghz 2.59 GHz
64-bit Operating system, x64-based processor

Anyone living in GVA Switzerland, raise your hand please
Anyone who's good with SleepyHead and computer IT worlds, please give a shout :o .

Thanks!
Vee

Don't have an answer but will ask the obvious questions:

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program?
Where did you download it from in the first place?
Did it work on this computer in the past?

Get OSCAR

Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

That sounds like you got a copy of OSCAR, or something else, not sleepyhead.
Oddly enough, SleepyHead 1.1.0.0 Has that literal, "OpenSource CPAP Research & Review" in the Target Description:

Code: Select all

  QMAKE_TARGET_DESCRIPTION = "OpenSource CPAP Research & Review"

Try 1.0, not the unstable version.

Download this file and place it in the same directory as sleepyhead.exe

https://sleepyhead.jedimark.net/testing ... gl32sw.dll

And try again if it still crashes try opening it then go file=>Preferences=>Appearance in the Graphics Engine change the setting form Desktop OpenGL to Software Engine and try again.

Thanks everyone for wonderful advice and taking the time.
I feel i’ve reached the end of what i’m Able to do, as i’m Not a software/computer expert. Even my IT department could not help me. I’ve tried the EnglishForum in SWITZERLAND as someone suggested and no one seems to know about SleepyHead.

I’d like to figure this out. I’m wondering if there is someone available to speak on the phone or skype? It would help if someone proficient with computers and sleepyhead could walk me through it and help trouble shoot.

Thanks again for taking the time. I look forward to hearing from you.

I don't know why you are having such troubles with SleepyHead....and I am using Windows 10 with it just fine.

Have you thought about trying ResScan? It's a PITA sometimes to use but at least it offers detailed data.
I would suggest version 5.9 ....don't go with 6.0 as it requires a log in procedure that seems to be creating a lot of headaches and there's nothing to gain in terms of data with those additional headaches.
