PMs stay in the outbox until opened by the person you sent the message to and then it will move to the sent box.
It's a way for you to know if the person has seen your message or not.

PMs are private.
I don't have access to anyone's PMs but my own. It takes a higher security level than I have.
Now Carolyn might (I don't know) but she doesn't have time to go reading people's personal notes to each other.

The only "approving" of anything that I do is new account first posts. We had to implement that last year after some spam bot attacks.

Spam patrol is my main job.

Speaking of "things vs people", have you noticed that palerider has this is in his sig line?
Things to put on the foe list: ajack, stom, D.H., prodigyplace, you can't trust what they say.

Does this list consist of things or people???

nitpick!!! - I'm getting even with palerider who corrected me on ERP vs EPR...
The list are things, specifically accounts, are things. People may use the accounts, but the accounts which would actually go on a the foe list is a thing.

The account named KnightSleeper is a thing, it is things that go on the foe list.

hmmmmmmm... Is that because palerider has a "good handle" on things??? Or does he simply like to hammer things/people???? :?:

That's debatable, what is certain is that those are menaces.

Technically, 'daemon', since he's the 'bsd system daemon',

dae·mon
/ˈdēmən/
noun Computing
daemon; plural noun: daemons; noun: demon; plural noun: demons

a background process that handles requests for services such as print spooling and file transfers, and is dormant when not required.

Hmmm, and when poorly programmed, can be blamed for frequent crashes?
