Thanks for the heads up...
After a year of "abuse" I am pleased to find no indication of mold in my machine.

You never know when being color blind will strike or where. P.S. Black is the absence of color, all reflected light is absorbed, making black.palerider wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 1:31 pmOh? let's see the lab analysis, otherwise, you're just GUESSING.ThereSheBreathes1 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 11:02 am

Re: mold
I'd try the local Dept. of Health to start with.
Re: mold
Yes, by all means get the Government involved, Fast track to a big mold removal bill. Or maybe just being homeless for a while......
Jim
No doubt mold is a health problem, I'm sure this house I'm in has mold, don't know if it's black, but i'm sure it's in all the colors of the rainbow. A couple of years ago redid the plumbing on the bathtub shower, expecting the worse, had some but I was expecting a lot more, if you have damp, you have mold.
The way my eyes and nose are 24/7, i'm sure the house is overrun with mold, or the many drugs I take are causing it. I'm not calling the Government, too cold to be homeless.

Re: mold
A moldy house will likely require wiping down walls with vinegar too, if the occupant is allergic to mold.
However, I am unaware of any documentation of any widespread problems with mold in connection with CPAP when manufacturers' instructions are followed. And even when some mold is present, it is not considered likely to harm someone with a healthy immune system anyway, not even causing nose troubles:

Testing of mold is no longer considered a standard procedure anywhere that I am aware of, unless tracing an instance of actual documented harm of some sort.. . . in our study population, there was no association seen between floral colonization of CPAP machine and symptoms of chronic rhinosinusitis. - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3716664/

We spiffed up a rental, removing several layers of antique roll flooring.
We suspected the bottom of having asbestos, so we were very careful, but quiet.
Regulators can-and will-eff you up. Big time. Their buddies are contractors.
Their other buddies are bankers, or whatnot.

I have a flask of el cheapo vodka--most anything responds to being wiped down.
