WAAAAYYYY too much money being asked for those hours.
Hell, I have given away ASV machines with less hours.
There are better deals out there...just have to be patient.
A few months ago I bought an AirCurve 10 V Auto with 86 hours on it for $350...it was local.
I bought it to go to someone in Europe...or I would have kept it for myself..

Personally...I wouldn't even pay for shipping if it was for free.

for perspective, that's 3.7 years of 8 hour/day usage, out of a "generally thought to be a good lifespan" of 5 years.

"gently used" vauto on secondwindcpap, 799. (well under a year).

if you take 3.7 years worth out of that price, you'd get about 200$.. US. (unless I screwed up.)

convert to canadian on your own time :)

I think I'll pass on it.

Was contacted by another member of CPAPTalk who uses a VAuto and is looking for a backup. I've sent him the details.

Thanks for your input.

I've renamed topic to Dog Slobber's Therapy Topic as the AirCurve didn't pan out.

I saw my Sleep Doctor, she was very pleased with my results. She's been supportive of my self management.

My only problem is I still wake up nightly and often can't get back to sleep.

I made the following changes about a week ago:
  • Increased minimum to 10 from 9.6
  • Increased maximum to 12.6 (haven't experienced aerophagia lately)
  • Turned on Soft Response
Observtions:
  • Still waking up
  • AHI still about the same about 1, usually under 0.5. Often if above that it's SWJ from awakening.
  • Didn't notice and difference because of Soft Response
  • Pressure has flattened out a bit, not approaching maximum as often. Assuming it's because of increase of minimum.

Now seems like an excellent time to thank all the wonderful contributors to CPAPTalk.

When I first started CPAP Therapy about a year ago, my healthcare providers were content in ordering me an AirSense 10 Elite. When my AHI was under 5 (at about 3.5) the all too familiar mantra, AHI < 5 is normal, and they weren't interested in dealing it in any further.

Fortunately, I discovered CPAPTalk before my machine was ordered, and was able to switch to an AutoSet. I then read every post I could find, apply what I've learned to my own therapy, and my AHI has been consistently well under 1.0.

And then.............

Last night I threw my first perfect game. 0.0!

In particular, Id like to acknowledge:
Pugsy, palerider, ChicagoGranny, chunkyfrog, LSAT, zonker, Sheriff Buford, Goofproof, jnk..., CapnLoki and others who's names escape me right now,.......

This place is a wealth of knowledge, experience, information, and humour and makes a difference in a lot of life enjoyment.

Thank you!

Don't undersell yourself. You may not post much technical or therapy related material as Pugsy or palerider, but your consistent positive and welcoming attitude has its place as well.

Plus that picture of you should serve as a good reminder to all readers of the importance of good sleep. :)

Perceptive, that zonker.

I do think you're wise, you absorb info, you don't make assumptions, you don't spout off about things you're not *sure* about... You seem to have something many people don't, ie, a good idea about what you *don't* know.

Well thanks PR. As far as what I don't know - if it isn't related to my job, "most things". So it's easy, really. :)
