New machine!!!!!!

Post by nobody » Thu Jan 24, 2019 9:12 pm

I got a new one. I was so fortunate to find someone selling one. It's a brand new airsense 10 with no hours on it. To be honest I don't understand why it needs wifi or a fancy screen (I hope that doesn't stay on??).

Anyway, I set my pressure on it same as the old machine and ran into a problem. Apparently this new machine is much more powerful than the old one or the old one got weaker with time. That would explain why I upped the pressure a bit as time went on.

So I'm not using it right away. I have a big project going on with a deadline so I can't afford to be tired during the day because I'm messing around with my new machine at night trying to get the pressure right.

The machine has a slot for a card but didn't come with one, do I need one and some kind of software to figure out my pressure for this machine? I noticed that the machine has an AHI report on its screen so maybe I can just go by that.

Also if anyone happens to have or know of any new simplicity masks for sale let me know. They aren't made anymore and I don't want to have to switch masks if this one wears out.

Go to your local store and get an SD card in the size range 2GB to 32gb just get what’s cheapest. Put that in the machine and then with Sleepyhead we can help you get the Autoset tuned in..

Thanks for the link! I'd like to find whole masks if possible. The weak point with the simplicity, I think, is its hose. The material is kind of thin and it tends to get crushed sometimes when I'm sleeping. Only a matter of time before it cracks. I'm sure the cushions will far outlast that part of the mask :/

Awesome, I found a whole mask new on there thanks to your link. Just bought it. So good to know I'll have at least one backup. I do love the Simplicity! :)

Cool. I have a 4GB one here that I haven't used for anything since 2010. I'll erase what's on it and use that. Thanks :)

If new, the machine came with an SD card. Harass your DME to give it to you.
My DME was going to take mine but I said the sleep doctor told me I needed to bring in the card.

The 4gb card will work fine including SDHC the Resmed site is wrong

Why don't you just *TRY IT* instead of looking to see if it'll work?
