That is strange. Must be a bug in Slepyhead. I didn't change the min and the dreammapper app shows min pressure at 10. At any rate I still felt pretty good. I think a lot of my flags are SWJ as well. I do take awhile to fall asleep, usually at least 30 minutes. I am very happy with my treatment and am starting to not worry so much about chasing the AHI numbers.

No...I don't think a bug...I think you got a screenshot of Sept 13 instead of Oct 13.

Re: Newbie wanting help reading Sleepyhead graphs
Just thought I would update this thread as it has been awhile.
I have managed to get my min. pressure up to 11 finally. It was a bit of a struggle, but I got it done. I have also turned off the ramp. While I only have 4 days of data downloaded at 11, my AHI has been under 1 every night. I really feel good, although I still wake up too many times during the night. I don't feel that I am waking up due to my OSA, but am waking up because of hip pain from sleeping on my side. Anyway here is the latest chart from sleepyhead at 11 min. pressure.

Re: Newbie wanting help reading Sleepyhead graphs
Yeah, that looks nice. Now, if you can fix the hip pain. I often have hip pain on my left side, (not the right, for whatever reason), I started putting a pillow under my waist when on my left side, which reduces the pressure on the hip a bit, and ... no more pain.

Re: Newbie wanting help reading Sleepyhead graphs
Interesting. I have pain in both hips, but the left if far worse. I like to sleep on my left side primarily. For whatever reason I can't seem to get the dreamwear nasal cushion to seal well when on my right side (leaks, mask displacement), but can when on my left side? I have tried a pillow between my legs, but not under the waist. Will have to try one under my waist. Thanks for the tip!palerider wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 7:50 pmYeah, that looks nice. Re: Newbie wanting help reading Sleepyhead graphs
Update time. I purchased a used (like new-745 hours) Autoset for her from our esteemed member LSAT. (Great guy to deal with BTW). I have used it for 5 nights now. I am running in the "for her" mode currently with the same pressures that I run on the dreamstation. 11-20, EPR 1, and climate (climate line hose) and humidity set to auto.
The pros:
1. Fantastic numbers! the worse was .56 and the best was .14
2. Less noise (compared to the dreamstation)
3. Smaller footprint
4. Screen backlight doesn't illuminate the entire bedroom when activated
The cons:
1. My perception is of reduced felt airflow at my nostrils (dreamwear nasal cushion mask). To be fair I was starting to notice this when using my dreamstation. The airflow felt less than in the beginning. I believe that I am becoming used to the sensation. I started APAP in September of 2018.
2. I fell like I need more humidity than auto is giving me. I am considering going to manual humidity with a setting of 6. On the dream station my humidity was set on adaptive setting of 4. The 4 worked pretty good for me.
Here is a chart from the 1st night, which is also the worst AHI thus far. I would take this AHI every night! I also feel good during the day as well. I do still have fragmented sleep, which I attribute to pain issues mainly.

Did you have any success using a pillow at your waist? Just curious if it helped.

Re: Newbie wanting help reading Sleepyhead graphs
Pretty darn good looking report.
You might be able to use less minimum...just saying. When I was using Respironics apap I needed 10 cm minimum to get good results.
With the AutoSet I am getting the same (if not better) results with 7 cm minimum.
You will just have to play with the humidity settings till you figure out which setting seems to fit your needs the best.
Each brand has their own humidity delivery so it's like comparing apples to oranges...Auto on the ResMed isn't necessarily the same as auto (that adaptive) mode on the Respironics.
How's your nose....any nasal congestion going on? Your Flow limitation graph is a bit active but part of that is the for Her mode...the for Her mode will do that with the FL graph because FLs are especially important to kill in the for Her mode.
If you were using regular mode the FL graph wouldn't be quite so "ugly". I have used both modes just to test the FL graph...for Her mode always looks worse than regular mode. As long as I am sleeping good and feeling good...don't really care what the FL graph might look like or what the machine does in response to the FLs.

I did try the pillow at my waist for a week, but did notice any improvement. It seem that the cold damp weather plays a large part of my hip pain.

Re: Newbie wanting help reading Sleepyhead graphs
Pugsy,
Yes on the nasal congestion. It seemed to start when I started using the Autoset. Probably just a consequence, but I suspect that it is humidity related. Saline spray is providing temporary relief. Also noteworthy is that I was trying a Resmed N30i mask on starting on Friday. I seemed to have one nostril blocking off when laying on my right side. It also seemed that the air wouldn't blow thru the congestion as easily as when I use my regular (dreamwear cushion) mask. In the middle of last night I couldn't stand the N30i anymore and switched back to the dreamwear. Then the air was able to clear the congestion for the most part. I don't think that I will be able to use the N30i.

Re: Newbie wanting help reading Sleepyhead graphs
Well, the body is an amazing unpredictable thing! Developed a cough Tuesday night and woke up with a full blown cold on Wednesday. Cough, fever, chills, runny nose, congestion, and just feeling out of it. Seemed to worsen thru out the day. Prior to going to bed took my usual dose of Nyquil like I do when I have a cold. Worried that the alcohol may disrupt my sleep, worried if I could use my mask, etc. Put on my mask laid down and started struggling. the air was warm and felt like I was suffocating. I was extremely hot and the mask was bothering me. I was about ready to rip off the mask, but told myself to calm down and to give it a chance. I was able to relax and fall asleep fairly quickly after that. Seemed to sleep ok. Woke up and checked the sleep report on the machine and had the elusive 0.0 AHI! This is my first 0, and I didn't expect it on a night when I was sick, and didn't even want to wear the mask! Chart below

I agree with you. Not a notable difference. I have only been using the Resmed for a week, but I have been .5 or below on it. It is a keeper!
