One month in....still feeling bad any advice here?
help sleepyhead stopped working
ok ive got my ahi to 2.79 last night with wearing the cervical collar.
now another problem my sleepyhead program isn't working
i have a mac and when i open the program and want to choose a profile it says the profile is open and gives me a window to choose to close sleepyhead or continue. so i continue and when i import the files from my sd card a pop up comes up saying an import is already running in the background and then sleepyhead crashes. i tried making a new profile but the same thing happens.
ive logged out, restarted my computer several times but the same problem comes up.

I would check to make sure you have your backup data for sleepyhead.
Uninstall sleepyhead and reinstall it.

Go to the top of the index page to see the Sleepyhead tutorial. Put it to use and post some charts in this thread.
then go to your sleepyhead folder in documents. should see a ss folder in there.

Wow, that is fascinating. I've never read about brain mass loss. Can you show me where to look for that information?nicholasjh1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 10:18 amStudies show that in severe sufferers it takes up to a year for the brain to regrow it's lost weight, which is up to 30% brain mass loss in the study I read. That's both the lost sleep and the lost oxygen as well as possible metabolic factors.

Instead of Sleep apnea it should be called "Sleep deprivation, starving of oxygen, being poisoned by high CO2 levels, damaging the body and brain while it's supposed to be healing so that you constantly get worse and can never get healthy Apnea"

cervical collar
I’ve been sleeping with the cervical collar now for over a week. In the beginning I saw my ahi go from about 5 to about 2.5. But now it basically stays at about 4 so there is no significant change. Also the collar pushes up my mask and has been causing a lot of leakage.

It sounds like you haven't gotten ideal settings yet. Have you downloaded sleepyhead and posted any graphs of a typical night? That would be the easiest way for us to help you.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?
Re: cervical collar
You could use a different neck support. I went ahead and got the eliminator gizmo for CPAP users. I like it a lot, but it won't last forever. But it was cheap ~$12 on amazon. There is another version of it, prolly much more.moo2425 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 10:20 pmI’ve been sleeping with the cervical collar now for over a week. I had started with a regular cervical collar like those for neck injuries but tried this other kind and I have been using it instead of the collars because it's more comfortable.
Hope you can find a solution.
