Yes. My husband's cardiologist recommended it to him. He uses it every morning to monitor himself. I use mine once in a blue moon when I think of it. It is pretty handy, especially if you have afib or if you've had the ablation and are monitoring to see that it remains good. Especially helpful if you are one of those people that feel no sensation of your heart being irregular.

Just wondering if these have become more popular in the last year and whether more of you have something to say about your experience? Are there better alternatives?

I have the Karda app. I first got the Kardia band along with it, but prefer the pads that fit nicely in my purse. I also find that the pads seem to do a better reading. While I do not have Atrial Fib, because I have sleep apnea and have experienced a stroke, I feel very apprehensive about being more susceptible to developing Atrial Fib. You can get any ECGs read professionally through Alive Cor. I have found the company very willing to answer questions. The turn around for getting the reading of your ECG is just several days. It would be quicker if a positive reading were sent.

Here's a cardiologist's review of Kardia Mobile and Cardio Pro. Cardi Pro is the service that allows the doctor to see his patients ECGs.

I am optimistic, based on this early experience with Kardia Pro, that ultimately this service in conjunction with the Kardia Mobile ECG device (or similar products) will replace many of the more expensive and inconvenient long-term monitoring devices that cardiologists currently use.

When I looked at it, I thought it was an interesting gimmick.
However if you ate having a serious AFib attack most people know something is happening. If you have to for the doctor to be notified, read the ECG, and call you before you know what's going on, the attack will be history or you will be dead.
Why bother.

Call his office and ask the staff if he uses Kardia Pro (https://www.medpagetoday.com/cardiology ... mias/71622) or otherwise supports the use of Kardia Mobile.
