Humidity and distilled water in Cuba
Humidity and distilled water in Cuba
Travelling to Cuba and actually first time in Caribbean very soon. I just started with CAP almost a year ago. Before that I couldn't sleep without a humidifier in winter and now I use the CPAP humidifier. I want to travel light and not take distilled water. Is it humid enough in Varedaro? Is bottled water okay in a pinch? I once used spring water by mistake for a couple of weeks and didn't die, so I'm thinking yes. I'm using a Dreamstation. Can I run it on empty? Maybe I should turn the heater off? Thanks.

You can use any water that is safe to drink. The only reason distilled water is recommended is to prevent mineral build up in the water chamber. If you empty the water chamber every morning, you won't build up much of a deposit. When you get home, you can remove it with a little vinegar or lemon juice.

If you don't want the Mineral buildup the zerowater waterfilters do an amazing job at filtering them out
