Hi Pugsy, I'm new to PAP and was looking for a review for this Bleep mask. Have you done one? Looks very interesting, Thanks!
No review yet because I haven't been able to get one to use it yet. Excited to try it though.

The Bleep/Dreamport mask is still a prototype and not for sale. There are probably only a very few of them in existence and those are used for testing and given to "interested" parties that might be able to provide positive reviews for when it becomes available. I don't think Pugsy has one yet, but we sure hope she gets one to try!
It's further along than just prototypes but not yet available for distribution for sale.
They are hoping for a general release date the last week of Jan 2019. That's the plan and hope so far...but as with any new product from a small start up company the least little problem could put a wrinkle in things.
I will be excited to give it a try. I woke up with a big bag under my right eye this morning from laying on my right cheek and the headgear straps restricting fluid dispursement in the side that was down. Bummer...left eye no bag...right eye had an ugly bag.

I must have been in that position for quite some time to get that much puffiness from the fluid build up. I don't normally have that happen. Took about 4 hours for the annoying bag to fade away and yes...I was using padded strap covers. If I don't I get dents clear down my cheek. I get strap and mask marks easily...just my face and circulation I guess. I even get a "scar" from a wrinkle in the pillow case.
I did get a chance to have a chat with Jason about it and to ask him directly some questions about some concerns that I had because I knew they would be the same concerns that others would have.
Vent noise and vent hitting someone or something were probably my major concerns. I have got kinda spoiled to the P10 silence and no jet stream of cold air bouncing off hubby or something back into my face.

He didn't really talk much about that part of it in his video. I think he said it might be sort of like the Swift FX in terms of venting but less. Not quite as loud and not quite as forceful though. So it sounds even more interesting to me.
Those of you brand new to cpap right now....and want the lightest mask at this point with minimal stuff on your face....get the ResMed AirFit P10 nasal pillow....very easy to adapt to for most people. Link to it in my equipment profile.
You have to get something now and the Bleep/DreamPort isn't available yet. Don't wait to start your therapy.
Hey...the good news is that it's going to be released here in the US first....I had to wait 6 months to get the Swift FX in 2010 because it went to Europe first.

Annoyed me big time. I hated knowing it was out there and out of my reach.
Oh....in terms of what is it for those ResMed users who have to choose a mask type....once I get one and use it I will play with nasal vs pillow selection just to see if it makes any difference and my review will include what I find...if anything.
From my own past experience with mask selection and when I have changed mask types and forgot to change the settings....didn't amount to anything earth shatteringly different on anything that I could feel or see in terms of numbers or therapy or air delivery.
I suspect that it won't make much/if any difference whatever you choose but I will experiment with both just to make sure.
I think that will end up being a non issue.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
