Max pressure increased after increasing min pressure

Post by mastau12 » Mon Nov 26, 2018 9:35 pm

Hello,
I recently bumped my min pressure from 5 to 8.6 to try to smooth out the pressure graph and get a better night sleep. I've had it at 8.6 for a couple of weeks now. I've noticed that the high pressure is consistently higher since adjusting the min pressure. Also, I'm not noticing an improvement in sleep. Why would the min pressure cause the max to increase as well?

Is there anything else I can adjust to improve my sleep quality? I feel like I sleep fairly well, but I don't wake up rested.

Thanks for any help!

When you raised your minimum pressure, it did not increase your maximum pressure which remained at 15 cm. We do not sleep the same every night. Some nights I need more pressure than others. Mine stays within a pretty tight range as I have my minimum set so it will control most of my events. It occasionally gove one or two cm. higher on certain nights. Most night, it is almost a flat line. I have found I sleep better when I do not have big changes in my pressure. Most of your events are clear airway events or central apnea. The second chart shows the majority of the events occurring during the last hour of your sleep. I suspect most of these are sleep/wake junk. If I sleep more than around seven hours, I will see clusters like you have because I am not sleeping soundly. I am slipping in and out of light sleep. I often wake after six to seven hours sleep, take the mask off and then lay back down. When I do, I never really get any sound sleep, but may take short five or ten minutes naps, then wake up, look at the clock and decide if I really want to crawl out of the nice warm bed into a rather cool bedroom. When I got up this morning, it was 58 degrees in my bedroom.
