Hey there, I've been using the machine for about 3 months now with no prior issues with fitment on my nasal pillows.... Recently though my nose is swelling up and getting red/agitated where the pillows make contact. It's getting to be pretty painful, and embarrassing (it dries out and make me looks like I'm snorting something). I started using the Nasal Gel stuff and it doesn't seem to be helping. I started with the Swift FX, and just recently tried the Airfit P10, the P10 makes it worse.
Any advice for what I should try?
Thanks

All the nasal gels I am familiar with contain salt. They are formulated for the mucous membranes. The salt can irritate skin. Use Lansinoh lanolin instead - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lansinoh-HPA ... /668641647
You may have it adjusted too tight or too loose. Go to youtube and watch some videos on how to adjust your nasal pillows (headgear adjustments).
Also, pay attention to hose management. You want to leave some slack in the hose so it is not pulling on the mask when you change positions in bed.

Or ask your pharmacist for a topical antihistamine.

^Not good advice.
---------------------------->
Save the topical antihistamines for insect bites and stings and allergic reactions.Topical antihistamines, such as those found in Benadryl cream and Caladryl lotion, should be used with caution since these medications can result in a future allergy to either the oral or topical forms of Benadryl (diphenhydramine).
Re: Nose swelling after 3 months
Is your irritation around the nose opening or where the tips of the pillows touch inside the nose? If it happens to be the tip causing a problem inside, a different size pillows might help.

Re: Nose swelling after 3 months
It seems like it's irritating it where the pillows contact the opening, not really the tips. I've been using the same pillows since I started, never had any issues until recently. I took the day off from sleeping properly to let my nose heal, last night wasn't as bad. I actually have a scab inside the nostril now, pretty annoying.
I stopped using the Nasal Gel, it does say on the side that it's saline based. Will be at walmart today to try lanolin.
I had a few restless nights before it started bugging me, I'm kinda thinking I was smashing my head into the pillows at different angles and that agitated my nose...once it started, any contact made it worse.

Try using a nasal mask, at least until this heals. Afterwards, you can keep it on-hand or any recurrence.
