Post by Norm27 » Sat Sep 29, 2018 1:43 pm

I have purchased a new Resmed air 10 in June and lately the water reservoir has started leaking along the joining seam is this a common problem for this machine

I don’t know if the leak is common. It did happen to mine after I dropped it. Your reservoir should be replaced under warranty.

Other people have had the same problem. Once you replace it, get a spare and keep it on hand. They do not stand up to rough handling. So far, I have not had to replace mine which is over three years old. I only wash it once a month.

My wife and I both had our reservoirs leak. We had the dishwasher safe models and I think the heat in the dishwasher caused expansion/contractor that my have contributed to it. We hand wash the bottom part now when we feel its needed.

If you can on occassion use the AS10 without humidification, I recommend buying the optional side cover...should be $20 or so. A second water chamber doesn't hurt either.

One of mine started leaking out of the blue, but that was (fortunately) a one-time occurrence for me. I replaced it with a new one, and I keep a spare or two on hand just in case. The one I'm using now has lasted for many months without any issues (knock on wood... er... plastic). :)
