Tried everything for noisy mask

Post by Morningglory » Fri Sep 07, 2018 2:56 pm

I usually have a fairly easy time with the Simplus FFM, but I've been having problems for nearly a week with intermittent noises. The noise happens frequently and wakes me up--It's like the mask farting people describe, mostly--and it's definitely the mask and not the tubing.

It's been happening throughout the night every night. I have changed the cushion and washed both cushions I've tried. I've been using RemZZZ liners and an anti-leak strap from Pad-a-Cheek. I've adjusted the tightness of the mask and the strap. I've tried using cpap gel instead of a liner. I've washed my face a lot. When I get the sounds, I hold the mask away from my face so that the air can smooth out any creases.

None of this has helped. I've used the Simplus for 3 years and usually don't have this much trouble.

What else can I try?

When was the last time you used a new cushion? My experience is when the "farting - noise" started.... I needed a new cushion.
