Depression... what to me to do?

Post by AnjelikaM » Fri Nov 10, 2006 5:48 am

In September has suddenly died my aunt, and it was to me as native mother.
I have not uttered any teardrop though it there was a greater loss! Also has begun: the FEAR is has started to operate me, instead of me. There are no forces - ABSOLUTELY! I should sit, stand, something to do. I feel constant weariness. Contrary to to all I WISH to live, I do not wish to be the madwoman!
What to me to do?

Anjelika,

I am very sorry for your loss. I recommend you find someone to talk to about your grief--a counselor, a priest, etc. It might help to find a grief support group where you can share your experiences with others who have recently lost loved ones. They would be able to help you with the specific challenges you face at this difficult time.

I'm sure there are message boards devoted to this subject that might be helpful. You might also contact your local hospice for resources.

I hope this helps, and I hope you are able to find some peace with this.

Anjelika,

Truly sorry for your loss. Can't imagine the suffering you are going through. You might find help here: http://beyondtalk.beyondindigo.com/

I'm not a Doctor, nor am I associated with the medical profession in any way. Any comments I make are just personal opinions. Take them or leave them. (justa don't gripe at me if ya donna like 'em!)

Go to your church or your family church and tell them how you feel. Whether you are a member of their church or not, they should be able to help you or send you to someone who can help you better than we can.

I am so sorry for your loss. I do not handle death well and can sympathize with you.

Telling someone how you feel is very smart. Now do something about it. Good luck with this.......

I LOVE the SV.

Off topic posts duplicated on other forums

Post by kteague » Sat Nov 11, 2006 11:36 am

Yes, I occasionally check out other forums. Interesting that some posts found here recently that were totally unrelated to sleep disorders are found exactly the same on another sleep forum. Even more interesting that I saw one last nite on another board that was followed by a suggestion of a product that could help. Besides being off topic, two eybrow raising types are the "just getting acquainted" and the "heartstrings" posts. Now, I am sure there have been times that a new user or guest just happened to say Hi and forget to mention anything cpap, and I wouldn't want them overlooked. But I think when in doubt it wouldn't hurt to have a standard blurb to insert asking the person to reply with more info so their need could be addressed, then if no reply let the thread fade away. The valuable time used responding to "bait" could be applied to answering legitimate concerns.

I am not qualifed to pass judgement on what is spam and what isn't if not blatant. Just a "heads up" in general. What a shame we need to even be suspicious, but this is the internet world we live in. Personally, I am less than appreciative of those who try to deceive and manipulate me for their purposes.

Okay - off my soapbox now. Was just a little "thrown" when I discovered the duplicity last nite. Am I wrong in my suspicions?

Kathy

Duplicate Posts

I must apologize. My prior post was intended to be a new thread, not specific, although this is one of the posts duplicated on another forum. Certainly do not want to be insensitive to anyone in distress if legitimate. If Angelika is a real person in distress, a response would be appreciated.

When I read this poorly parsed posting, my spam alert was triggered. Of course, it is impossible to tell for sure.

We know that spammers often use offshore or foreign sources for their dastardly deeds, so the language problems beg the question: is this spam? Also, most often those who post here with English as a second language use better grammar and spelling than many native American English speakers.

Now, Kathy has come up with the duplicity of posting on different forums and using the exact same language. Interesting that the topic just INSPIRES us to be sympathetic by all that is polite and decent.

It is a fair observation that this MAY be some kind of precursor to spam. It only makes sense that the spammers would try to be even more sneaky as we become wiser in their ways. Who wants to be deleted? <Sigh>
Be kinder than necessary; everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Hi everyone. I'm not from this site and have never visited here before. If you do I I have done and Google the name of the originator of this thread, you will see that they have been posting this exact same post on literally hundreds of message boards. There is no follow up post.

This person has just registered at a site I moderate and as we have been getting a lot of these sort of posters, I tend to check up on them.

I'm not sure what this person is after, but I suspect a spam poster.

Hope this helps.
