Can you guys test a link for me?

Post by Pugsy » Fri Aug 31, 2018 9:59 pm

Tell me what you get if you go here

https://sleep.tnet.com/equipment

Do you get a working link to the usual web page or do you get a message that his certificate has expired?

Krelvin let the cert expire.

One of the downsides of the stupid "HTTPS EVERYWHERE!" drive.

If he's still doing ok, he's pretty much got to, his main website is down too.

Yeah....when someone lets their certificate expire then the various browsers all throw up a red flag that so and so website is a bad place..it's not but they do it anyway.

I will try to send Kevin an email and alert him to the problem. Only he can fix it and I haven't heard from him in a long time.
I hope he is okay.

The cert looks like it was valid right up until ‎Tuesday, ‎28 ‎August, ‎2018 07:59:59 PM. Depending on your browser security, you may be able to get around it. For example, on my personal PC in Chrome, you can follow the "Advanced" link on the privacy warning page to continue on to the site. On my work PC, security is tighter and they have MSIE locked down to where the option is not available; however, they allow the option in Firefox and Edge. So quite often, we have to "spin the browser wheel" to find one that works (presumes you know what's on the other end of the link and you are confident the site is safe and merely has an expired cert)...

My browser won't let me work around it and even if it did that's not the problem.
The problem is I use this website all the time when referring people to various help documents.
I don't need the information at the website but the people that we help here will need it.
Like the link for the AirSense 10 provider/clinical manual. I use it often...saves someone from having to go over to the apneaboard and request it via email.

I had an old personal email address for Kevin in my files. I sent an email to that address and asked him if he was okay and was he aware that the certificate had expired for his website.
Will let you know if I hear anything.

Tnet lists their support email as tnet.services@gmail.com You may want to try that

There are many, many different providers for SSLs now. You can purchase very inexpensive $6 yearly certs and there are even 'Free' SSL certs available although I don't recommend them. I'm a computer engineer by trade and am more than happy to help. Please feel free to send Kevin my way. It's a very quick and easy fix.
